Com o VMA de 2019 chegando cada vez mais perto, a MTV liberou hoje a lista de artistas e clipes indicados para a 36ª edição da premiação. Os destaques desse ano vão para as mulheres, com Ariana Grande e Taylor Swift liderando o ranking com 10 indicações cada, entre elas as concorridas categorias de Vídeo do Ano, Música do Ano e Melhor Música Pop. Bem perto delas temos Billie Eilish com 9 nominações e Lil Nas X com 8, para sua música "Old Town Road" em parceria com Billy Ray Cyrus.
A edição de 2019, que promete ser a maior de todas, traz ainda duas novas categorias: a de Melhor Vídeo K-POP e Melhor Vídeo Pelo Bem. Seguindo, assim, a ascensão de grupos coreanos como BTS e BLACKPINK, que vêm estourando nas paradas e crescendo no cenário americano. Além de considerar os novos vídeos com mensagens importantes que vêm sendo lançados por artistas como Halsey e Taylor.
A premiação acontecerá dia (26) de agosto em Newark, Nova Jérsei e será apresentada pelo comediante americano Sebastian Maniscalco. Confira abaixo a lista dos indicados desse ano:
