ReeToxA lança novo EP "Double A Side 2 (Akaroa / Erica And The Stars)" sendo um dos trabalhos lançados nesse ano. Entre eles, tem o álbum "SOLILOQUY" e o EP "Double a Side (Stronge/Truce)".
Banda de Melbourne liderada por Jason McKee. Após 30 anos compondo músicas, Jason conheceu o produtor Simon Moro e juntos lançaram seu primeiro trabalho.
Nesse novo EP que chega com 4 faixas, ReeToxA demonstra a capacidade de canalizar experiências intensamente pessoais em arte universalmente impactante. "Akaroa" surgiu de um sonho espiritual vívido vivenciado durante um período incrivelmente difícil, encontrando sua conclusão anos depois na cidade costeira da Nova Zelândia que compartilha o mesmo nome, onde McKee sentiu uma presença inexplicável que trouxe a música de volta à sua mente. "Erica And The Stars" nasceu durante uma crise de saúde mental e se tornou uma tábua de salvação, apresentando a Orquestra de Budapeste completa, tocando exatamente como McKee a ouviu em sua mente durante aquele momento transformador.
Para começar, temos a primeira faixa "Akaroa" que tem uma sonoridade que nos leva rapidamente ao rock que lembra algo dos anos 2000, lembra o período que crescemos ouvindo esse estilo e isso é fascinante para alimentar a nostálgia. É aquele rock leve, jovem, com guitarra presente e um som crescente, com batidas que constróem um som sólido, sabemos e sentimos que vai ter aquela transição para o refrão onde chega ao clímax e faz a gente cantar juntos. A canção gruda em nossa mente, e cantamos na transição "She Knows" e então embarcamos juntos, é aquela faixa que soa como se estivéssemos sonhando e tem uma construção atmosférica que incendeia a gente por dentro em um refrão gostoso de cantar.
"Erica and The Stars" tem uma sonoridade que diferencia em comparação a primeira faixa. Com acordes sendo tocados corda por corda e um som de violino no arranjo ao fundo, teclas de piano, é uma canção suave, que vai se abrindo e nos conectando aos poucos. A faixa tem um arranjo muito bem trabalhado, com sons que entram no refrão em um efeito psicodélico, o som do arranjo cresce e traz beleza para a canção, um ambiente mágico, encantador. É aquela faixa para estar na beira de uma fogueira, olhando as estrelas e sentindo esse momento. Nessa canção, a gente fecha os olhos e flutuamos para longe. É uma canção que traz conforto e aconchega os ouvintes, perfeita para ouvir nesses dias frios e chuvosos que estamos passando no Brasil.

ReeToxA releases new EP "Double A Side 2 (Akaroa / Erica And The Stars)", one of the works released this year. Among them are the album "SOLILOQUY" and the EP "Double a Side (Stronge/Truce)".
The Melbourne band is led by Jason McKee. After 30 years of composing music, Jason met producer Simon Moro and together they released their first work.
In this new EP, which features 4 tracks, ReeToxA demonstrates the ability to channel intensely personal experiences into universally impactful art. "Akaroa" emerged from a vivid spiritual dream experienced during an incredibly difficult period, finding its conclusion years later in the New Zealand coastal town of the same name, where McKee felt an inexplicable presence that brought the music back to his mind. "Erica And The Stars" was born during a mental health crisis and became a lifeline, featuring the full Budapest Orchestra playing exactly as McKee heard it in his mind during that transformative moment.
To begin, we have the first track, "Akaroa," which has a sound that quickly takes us to rock reminiscent of the 2000s, the period when we grew up listening to this style, and that's fascinating for fueling nostalgia. It's that light, youthful rock, with a prominent guitar and a growing sound, with beats that build a solid sound. We know and feel that there will be that transition to the chorus where it reaches a climax and makes us sing along. The song sticks in our minds, and we sing along to the transition "She Knows" and then embark together. It's that track that sounds like we're dreaming and has an atmospheric construction that ignites us inside in a catchy chorus.
"Erica and The Stars" has a sound that differentiates it compared to the first track. With chords played string by string and a violin sound in the background arrangement, piano keys, it's a gentle song that gradually unfolds and connects us little by little. The track has a very well-crafted arrangement, with sounds that enter the chorus in a psychedelic effect; the sound of the arrangement grows and brings beauty to the song, a magical, enchanting atmosphere. It's the kind of track to listen to by a campfire, gazing at the stars and savoring the moment. In this song, we close our eyes and float away. It's a song that brings comfort and warmth to listeners, perfect for listening to on these cold and rainy days we're experiencing in Brazil.
Then, something that's always very important and I think bands should consider, about how the fans would sing along, in this EP ReeToxA thought perfectly about it with the 2 tracks in karaoke version, being "Akaroa" and "Erica and The Stars", with the instrumental version where we can hear the guitar, the beats, the arrangement, the bass, everything in more detail, and here it's for us to let loose and let the guitar riff lines ignite us from within.
