 C'batch está de volta com disco que nos faz viajar e nos deixa completamente envolvidos, esse trabaho traz uma vertente de jazz com pegadas de reggae e pop, é simplesmente sensacional esse disco, mostrando mais uma vez todo o talento do artista.

C’batch abre mais um capítulo de The Vault com I Guess You Want It This Way, um EP de seis faixas construído em torno de uma música cujas raízes remontam a aproximadamente 26 anos. Originalmente inspirada pelo incentivo de longa data de sua esposa jamaicana, Yvette, para escrever uma música reggae, a composição permaneceu inacabada nos arquivos de C’batch — seu refrão, harmonia e melodia do verso se recusando a desaparecer.

Em 2026, C’batch finalmente retornou à música, completando a letra e reimaginando a composição por meio de seis interpretações distintas. O EP é dedicado ao lendário guitarrista jamaicano Ernest Ranglin, a quem C’batch teve a memorável oportunidade de conhecer no Aeroporto de Heathrow em 2001.

A primeira faixa é a que da nome ao álbum, de cara já notamos sua melodia, esse disco veio para trazer um regae muito sofisticado, bem trabalhado com pegadas de jazz que encantam o ouvinte e que o fazem mergulhar na composição, a canção traz muita intensidade e batidas que nos deixam completamente felizes por ter encontrado algo que representa tão bem o reggae sem deixar o estilo massando, é inovador, é cheio de sonoridades que trazem Jazz e muita elegancia, com vocais que nos deixam arrepiados de tão bom, é como se as palavras ganhassem força, é simplesmente magnifico.

A segunda faixa é uma nova versão da canção, com uma maravilhosa pegada igual a anterior, cheia de vida, performática, com vocais que possuem força, essa tem aproximadamente 4 segundos a mais que anterior, consegue nos deixar com vontade de ver como será a próxima canção. 

Seguindo para as próximas feixas encontramos um versão instrumental deliciosa que é para colcoar, se deixar levar e curtir cada segundo, uma música viva, de performance instrumental deliciosa que é para notarmos o quanto essa canção é perfeita em sua estrutura e construção instrumental, ela nos revigora, nos faz viajar, é bom demais.

C'batch opens another chapter of The Vault with I Guess You Want It This Way, a six-track EP built around a song whose roots go back approximately 26 years. Originally inspired by the long-standing encouragement of his Jamaican wife, Yvette, to write a reggae song, the composition remained unfinished in C'batch's archives—its chorus, harmony, and verse melody refusing to disappear.

In 2026, C'batch finally returned to the song, completing the lyrics and reimagining the composition through six distinct interpretations. The EP is dedicated to the legendary Jamaican guitarist Ernest Ranglin, whom C’batch had the memorable opportunity to meet at Heathrow Airport in 2001.

The first track is the one that gives the album its name; its melody is immediately noticeable. This record delivers a very sophisticated, well-crafted reggae sound with jazz influences that enchant the listener and immerse them in the composition. The song has a lot of intensity and beats that leave us completely happy to have found something that represents reggae so well without making the style feel tiresome. It's innovative, full of sounds that bring jazz and great elegance, with vocals that give us goosebumps; it's as if the words gain strength. It's simply magnificent.

The second track is a new version of the song, with a wonderful feel similar to the previous one, full of life, performative, with powerful vocals. This one is approximately 4 seconds longer than the previous one, leaving us wanting to see what the next song will be like.

Moving on to the next tracks, we find a delightful instrumental version that's meant to be put on, let yourself go, and enjoy every second. It's a vibrant song with a delightful instrumental performance that makes you notice how perfect this song is in its structure and instrumental construction. It invigorates us, makes us travel, it's just too good.
