Citizen Smith lança novo álbum 'Somewhere between leaving' sendo o primeiro grande trabalho lançado nesse ano. Diretamente de Norwich, Inglaterra, para o mundo, o álbum chega com 13 faixas e vamos conferir tudo.

Nessa canção podemos sentir influências dos anos 70, um rock clássico, leve, envolvente, rapidamente gruda em nossa mente e então começamos a cantar juntos. A canção tem o vioão que é gostoso de ouvir, o vocal que harmoniza muito bem com a sonoridade, a canção é muito fácil de ouvir, agradando amantes de boa música, diria que é bem pop dentro do rock, o que a torna agitada, flui em nosso corpo, fascinante.
'Stepping Stone' é a terceira canção, tem um estilo mais sombrio, o vocal leva a faixa com um ritmo mais suave, introspectivo, somos levados aqui em uma atmosfera intensa na melodia. Então ocorre uma transição que leva para um momento mais expansivo da faixa, com efeitos sonoros no arranjo que mostra a complexidade da faixa.
'Avant Gardening' é a quarta faixa, tem uma sonoridade mais lenta, uma construção gradual,uma narrativa hipnotizante em sua proposta sonora. A canção tem solo muito bem trabalhado, eletrizando a gente, um presente para quem ama instrumental diversificado e presente, a canção é poderosa e forte, uma letra que comunica com ouvintes ao redor do mundo.
'Considered' é a oitava canção, um hino rápido que poderia nos ter dado o prazer de ser mais longo, é aquela faixa que é perfeita para ouvir no cair da tarde para noite, em um clima nublado, tomando um drink, a canção nos leva a algo dos anos 60, é suave e lenta, uma raridade nos dias atuais em que o barulho impera, aqui o silêncio dita o rumo, o vocal traz sua face mais áspera, vintage, isso é fascinante, um rock que tem uma pegada mais pop, para todos cantarem juntos.
'Good Times' é a décima faixa, com bastante presença e atitude do rock and roll. Tem uma atmosfera mais sombria nesse começo, é uma canção que faz a gente flutuar em memórias, revivemos, de repente a faixa se abre e nos leva em um refrão vibrante, são os bons momentos que estão de volta em nossa mente e anseiamos para ter eles de volta, então a gente canta junto toda noite para buscar tudo de volta.
'Wine Bottles' a décima primeira, tem uma sonoridade com acordes de violão, é mais acútisco, intimista, imagina estar em uma fogueira, sob o céu estrelado, com uma boa companhia ao redor e tomando uma garrafa de vinho, uma boa conversa, uma atmosfera de paz ao redor, essa canção tocando ao fundo, isso é como um quadro que pinta em nossa mente quando ouvimos essa canção.
Sem mais spoileirs, o álbum possui 13 canções que realmente nos tira do ambiente ao redor, nos desconecta de tudo, a gente tem um momento onde revisitamos nossa vida e podemos rever tudo, os momentos felizes, os tristes, as facilidades, as dificuldades, um trabalho que faz a gente sentir vida pulsando em nossas veias, isso é fascinante nessa obra prima de Citizen Smith.

Citizen Smith releases their new album 'Somewhere Between Leaving', their first major release this year. Directly from Norwich, England, to the world, the album features 13 tracks, and we're going to check them all out.
The album captures the essence of life's journey through all its losses, loves, and transformative moments. Recorded primarily at Sickroom Studios in Norfolk, with three additional tracks recorded at bassist Bob's home studio, the album deliberately embraces imperfection as truth. While tracks like "Superman" and "Summer Magazine" demonstrate the band's ability to create engaging pop moments, songs like "Considered," "Wine Bottles," and "Afterglow" were recorded in a single take, preserving all their raw and authentic humanity.
To begin, there's the first track, 'Memories,' which has a sweet introduction, enveloping us in a sound that evokes a nostalgic moment with the harmonica echoing in our memories. Guitar strings gradually emerge, the vocals take on a classic rock style; it's the beginning of an album where we can already imagine taking an open road on a sunny day and feeling the wind on our faces, in search of freedom.
'Superman' is the second track, with guitar lines and a sound that resembles a harmonica, which enriches the song in its beauty. In this song we can feel influences from the 70s, a classic rock, light, engaging, quickly sticking in our minds and then we start singing along. The song has a pleasant acoustic guitar, the vocals harmonize very well with the sound, the song is very easy to listen to, pleasing lovers of good music, I would say it's quite pop within rock, which makes it energetic, flows through our bodies, fascinating.
'Stepping Stone' is the third song, it has a darker style, the vocals carry the track with a smoother, introspective rhythm, we are taken here into an intense atmosphere in the melody. Then a transition occurs leading to a more expansive moment in the track, with sound effects in the arrangement showcasing the track's complexity.
'Avant Gardening' is the fourth track, with a slower sound, a gradual build-up, and a mesmerizing narrative in its sonic approach. Little by little, the song guides us with guitar strings that take us on a transcendental journey. The song is powerful and strong, with lyrics that communicate with listeners around the world.
'Considered' is the eighth song, a fast-paced anthem that could have been longer. It's the perfect track to listen to in the late afternoon/early evening, on a cloudy day, while having a drink. The song takes us back to the 60s; it's smooth and slow, a rarity in these noisy times. Here, silence dictates the direction. The vocals bring out their rougher, vintage side, which is fascinating. It's a rock song with a more pop feel, perfect for everyone to sing along to.
'Good Times' is the tenth track, with plenty of rock and roll presence and attitude. It has a darker atmosphere at the beginning. It's a song that makes us float through memories, relive them. Suddenly, the track opens up and takes us into a vibrant chorus. It's the good times that are back in our minds, and we long to have them back, so we sing along every night to relive them all.
'Wine Bottles', the eleventh track, has a sound with acoustic guitar chords; it's more intimate. Imagine being around a campfire under a starry sky, with good company, sharing a bottle of wine, having a good conversation, a peaceful atmosphere all around, with this song playing in the background. It's like a picture painted in our minds when we listen to it.
