Testaments acaba de lançar seu novo e poderoso álbum, uma faixa atrás da outra, todas cheias de criatividade, sonoridades novas e do tipo que nos fazem mergulhar no disco e nos sentir vivos e imersos em algo bom.
Never Run Dry é o EP de estreia de Testaments e apresenta tanto o som experimental da banda quanto a voz singular de Mark McQuillan como compositor e letrista. Cada faixa é uma releitura de músicas já existentes, com o estilo lírico de McQuillan e o som característico da banda como constantes. O som gravado do Testaments tem a interação ao vivo como base e, mesmo com as múltiplas camadas de vocais e eufônio, este EP possui um som inconfundivelmente ao vivo do início ao fim.
Ae Fond Kiss é a primeira canção que nos chama a atenção, que nos faz sair de nossa rotina e mergulhar em uma vibe de sofisticação, tranquilidade, e uma guitarra muito bem tocada, leve, fresca, cheia de qualidade e muito brilho, que nos faz correr pela veia as sonoridades até atingirem nossa mente e nos refrescarem a alma, essa canção é do tipo que traz paz, ela nos alivia da rotina, nos faz pensar em coisas boas, tem muita autenticidade e é rica em detalhes, traz um vocal feminino surpreendente e que nos arrepia e nos deixa ainda mais envolvidos com a música, letra linda para completar tudo que já tínhamos sentido ao longo da canção.
Mountain Stream chega com muito vigor, sonoridades que nos fazem imergir na canção, delicadas, sensitivas, nós conseguimos sentir a canção, então vocais femininos lindos cantam e tranquilizam nossa mente intrigada com os sons anteriores, é uma canção que nos relaxou, nos trouxe paz, linda releitura, cheia de talento, uma composição única e bem trabalhada, que da destaque para voz com uma sonoridade que chama a atenção por dar intensidade aos vocais e movimentos para a música.
Contemplation é a terceira canção, com batidas que nos lembram jazz, com sonoridades dinámicas e energicas, canção que nos faz contemplar literalmente cada som, cada emoção, em nós, nos desliga de nossa rotina caótica para nos ligar a nós mesmos, nos desacelera e nos faz imergir em uma obra de arte que traz modernidade e talentos, nós amamos essa canção, é muito bem construída, sofisticada, cheia de energia.
Sem mais spoillers a última faixa vai ficar como uma surpresa, esse disco é uma verdadeira experiência musical que tem autenticidade, criatividade, composição excelente e muita vida, um trabalho que nos deixou envolvidos e empolgados, nós amamos cada detalhe, vale a pensa viver esse disco.

This song is the kind that brings peace; it relieves us from the routine, makes us think of good things, has a lot of authenticity and is rich in detail, features a surprising female vocal that gives us goosebumps and makes us even more involved with the music, and beautiful lyrics to complete everything we had already felt throughout the song.
