The House Flies lança novo single "Derelict Crawl" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado o single "Sweet Foxhound".
"Derelict Crawl" é o primeiro single do segundo álbum do The House Flies, Lions and Ore, com lançamento previsto para 6 de novembro. É uma das músicas mais diretas do disco, construída em torno de um ritmo pós-punk constante, guitarras densas, seções mais calmas e o refrão repetido "We don't belong" (Nós não pertencemos). A música introduz o lado mais pesado e repetitivo do álbum, sem revelar todas as suas nuances mais lentas e atmosféricas, nos contagiando com pós-punk, rock gótico, noise rock e música alternativa com guitarras mais sombrias, com referências a bandas como Protomartyr, Interpol e Joy Division.
"Derelict Crawl" tem um início forte e sólido, podemos sentir as passagens de acordes escorrendo para o lado, as batidas promovem um ritmo mais acelerado, o ambiente traz todo aquele suspense e mistério dos anos 80, com um clima nostálgico que nos cativa por dentro, faz a gente reviver anos que crescemos, de repente com a entrada forte da guitarra a faixa impressiona e nos leva aos anos 90 em um estilo noise grunge que incendeia a gente por dentro.
"Derelict Crawl" é surpreendente, o vocal entrega versos que nos faz entrar, imergir nesse ambiente, com aquela ideia mais subversiva, onde a gente se sente apartado da sociedade, fazer parte de algo hoje é tão difícil ou mais complicado que nos anos 80 ou 90. Se antes tinha preconceitos, hoje diminuiu bastante, porém a tecnologia do mundo atual construiu muros e isso faz a gente se sentir como se não pertencesse a lugar algum, como se ainda não tivesse encontrado nosso bando.
"Derelict Crawl" traz algo do shoegaze, rompe barreiras e flui entre os gêneros, um rock que comunica fortemente com todos aqueles que estão incomunicáveis nesse mundo, um rock que faz a gente cantar juntos e soltar aquilo que está preso na garganta, a faixa simplesmente nos desconecta de tudo ao redor, nossos sentimentos fluem constantemente e despejamos toda fúria e raiva no refrão que soa de forma estrondosa.
The House Flies, através desse lançamento, nos deixa animados com o próximo álbum que está a caminho, em um som que sentimos toda a energia do rock, com instrumental muito bem trabalhado fazendo todo o barulho para tirar a gente do chão e o vocal traz muita atitude e personalidade.

The House Flies releases new single "Derelict Crawl," their first release this year. Previously, they released the single "Sweet Foxhound."
"Derelict Crawl" is the first single from The House Flies' second album, Lions and Ore, scheduled for release on November 6th. It's one of the album's most direct songs, built around a constant post-punk rhythm, dense guitars, calmer sections, and the repeated refrain "We don't belong." The song introduces the album's heavier and more repetitive side, without revealing all its slower and more atmospheric nuances, captivating us with post-punk, gothic rock, noise rock, and alternative music with darker guitars, referencing bands like Protomartyr, Interpol, and Joy Division.
"Derelict Crawl" has a strong and solid start; we can feel the chord progressions flowing to the side, the beats promoting a faster rhythm, the atmosphere brings all that suspense and mystery of the 80s, with a nostalgic vibe that captivates us from within, making us relive the years we grew up. Suddenly, with the strong entrance of the guitar, the track impresses and takes us to the 90s in a noise grunge style that ignites us from within.
"Derelict Crawl" is surprising; the vocals deliver verses that make us enter, immerse ourselves in this environment, with that more subversive idea, where we feel separated from society, being part of something today is as difficult or more complicated than in the 80s or 90s. If there were prejudices before, today they have decreased considerably, but the technology of the current world has built walls, and this makes us feel as if we don't belong anywhere, as if we haven't yet found our group.
"Derelict Crawl" brings something of shoegaze, breaks barriers and flows between genres, a rock that strongly communicates with all those who are incommunicable in this world, a rock that makes us sing along and release what's stuck in our throats. The track simply disconnects us from everything around us; our feelings flow constantly, and we unleash all our fury and anger in the thunderous chorus.
Through this release, The House Flies gets us excited for their upcoming album, a sound that feels all the energy of rock, with a very well-crafted instrumental making all the noise to get us off the ground, and the vocals bringing a lot of attitude and personality.
