Jake Kotschy lança novo EP "Wage Cuck" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "It Ain't That Deep" e "Worthless and Useless".
Vindo do underground punk do Reino Unido, Jake Kotschy vem sacudindo as paredes desde 2023 com um punk rock cru e sem frescuras. Canalizando a energia de bandas como Stiff Little Fingers e The Clash, e a intensidade feroz de Amyl and the Sniffers e Frank Carter, Kotschy entrega músicas que impactam como um soco no estômago. "Wage Cuck" tem 4 faixas em seu EP.
O EP inicia com a faixa homônimo "Wage Cuck" que tem riffs de guitarra vibrantes, batidas estrondosa do punk rock. O vocal entra com muita energia, entregando tudo em um ritmo fulminante, com muita personalidade e atitude. A gente sente as transições da guitarra enquanto o vocal canta os versos. É eufórico, com refrão que tira a gente do chão e faz cantar juntos.
"Guillotine" é a segunda faixa, traz toda a raiva e fúria em riffs de guitarra e batidas que faz a gente bater a cabeça. É a faixa para incendiar e trazer o fogo que precisamos para virar tudo de ponta cabeça. Não temos nada a perder, é tudo ou nada, não tem igualdade, não tem consequência. O punk rock dessa faixa nos leva para uma revolução, com vocal gutural ao final de alguns versos e claro, o refrão que impacta e faz a galera cantar juntos.
"Living My Worst Life" é a terceira canção, com introdução que conecta a gente fortemente. A guitarra fica tocando em batidas suspensas, o vocal entra e traz muita personalidade. A música cresce indo para o refrão, entra backing vocal e a gente entra na música com as mãos pro alto. É uma faixa de revolta, quando não estamos mais aguentando nada da injustiça do sistema e estamos sendo forçados a viver tudo isso.
"Scorched Earth" traz muito mistério em seu início, é a quarta canção e finaliza esse EP que está cheio de ira, determinação, personalidade e autenticidade. Sem muito spoilers, essa faixa é um hino punk que tem um tom mais pesado, traz mais força e representa muito bem o movimento, chega com tudo e soa como um soco no estômago, a música é irada, com linhas instrumentais que arrebatam e destrói por dentro, uma faixa visceral.

Jake Kotschy releases new EP "Wage Cuck," his first release this year. Previously, he had already released the singles "It Ain't That Deep" and "Worthless and Useless."
Coming from the UK punk underground, Jake Kotschy has been shaking things up since 2023 with raw, no-frills punk rock. Channeling the energy of bands like Stiff Little Fingers and The Clash, and the ferocious intensity of Amyl and the Sniffers and Frank Carter, Kotschy delivers songs that hit like a punch to the gut. "Wage Cuck" has 4 tracks on its EP.
The EP begins with the title track "Wage Cuck," which features vibrant guitar riffs and thunderous punk rock beats. The vocals enter with great energy, delivering everything in a blistering rhythm, with a lot of personality and attitude. We feel the guitar transitions as the vocalist sings the verses. It's euphoric, with a chorus that lifts us off the ground and makes us sing along.
"Guillotine" is the second track, bringing all the anger and fury in guitar riffs and beats that make us headbang. It's the track to ignite and bring the fire we need to turn everything upside down. We have nothing to lose, it's all or nothing, there's no equality, no consequences. The punk rock of this track takes us to a revolution, with guttural vocals at the end of some verses and, of course, the chorus that impacts and makes the crowd sing along.
"Living My Worst Life" is the third song, with an introduction that strongly connects us. The guitar plays suspended beats, the vocals come in and bring a lot of personality. The song grows going towards the chorus, backing vocals come in and we enter the song with our hands in the air. It's a song of rebellion, when we can no longer tolerate the injustice of the system and are being forced to live through it all.
"Scorched Earth" has a lot of mystery in its beginning; it's the fourth song and concludes this EP, which is full of anger, determination, personality, and uniqueness. Without giving away too much, this track is a punk anthem with a heavier tone, more forceful, and represents the movement very well. It comes in strong and sounds like a punch to the gut; the music is fierce, with captivating instrumental lines and inner destruction—a visceral track.
