Modern Guilt lança novo single "American Dream" sendo a primeira faixa do EP homônimo. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "You Know Who You Are".
Esse é o último single antes do lançamento do álbum de estreia do Modern Guilt no início deste verão. A faixa serve como uma poderosa declaração de intenções, consolidando ainda mais a reputação da banda por criar músicas distintas e ambiciosas. O vocalista Jaz descreve o novo single como “Uma para os mentirosos. Uma ode à desonestidade. Quem nunca ouviu alguém contar histórias ridículas e inventar lorotas sem parar? Nós os vemos fazendo isso pela TV e os ouvimos em bares decadentes, entre cigarros e bebidas. É tudo gente falando sobre gente, falando sobre gente de novo, e a verdade meio que desmorona.”
"American Dream" inicia com uma sonoridade de guitarra que nos envolve, as batidas trazem um estilo mais agitado, criando um ambiente que faz os ouvintes pularem. Tem o cheiro de um rock clássico, tem a estrutura de um hino atemporal. O vocal traz versos rápidos, empolgantes, cheios de personalidade, onde o vocalista entrega tudo de si em um ambiente que mostra o melhor do rock and roll.
"American Dream" tem uma transição para o refrão que surpreende, criando uma experiência onde a gente se entrega em uma atmosfera cheia de energia, e então cantamos juntos, rapidamente a faixa gruda em nossa cabeça. "American Dream" retrata algo que todo ouvinte já passou, todo lugar vai ter um contador de histórias, aqui no Brasil as vezes chamamos de "Bichão", é aquele contador de histórias que tem vantagem em tudo, tudo dele é o melhor, tudo que ele faz é o mais surpreendente, aumenta, inventa, com um copo de cerveja na mão, é o único que não consegue ficar um momento sem falar. O que mais representa isso hoje em dia seria Donald Trump, quando ele fala, senta que vem história sobre o quão é incrível tudo que ele faz, talvez seja o maior exemplo de um contador de histórias, ele nunca perde, ele ta sempre ganhando, isso é impressionante no padrão das pessoas. Um rock abordar isso soa cômico, a gente se sente representado pois estamos rodeados de pessoas do tipo. Um hino que diverte e arrebata a gente com um refrão completamente marcante.

Modern Guilt releases new single "American Dream," the first track from their self-titled EP. Previously, they released the singles "You Know Who You Are."
This is the last single before the release of Modern Guilt's debut album early this summer. The track serves as a powerful statement of intent, further solidifying the band's reputation for creating distinctive and ambitious music. Vocalist Jaz describes the new single as "One for the liars. An ode to dishonesty. Who hasn't heard someone tell ridiculous stories and make up tall tales endlessly? We see them doing it on TV and hear them in seedy bars, between cigarettes and drinks. It's all people talking about people, talking about people again, and the truth kind of falls apart."
"American Dream" begins with an enveloping guitar sound; the beats bring a more energetic style, creating an atmosphere that makes listeners jump. It has the feel of classic rock, the structure of a timeless anthem. The vocals deliver fast-paced, exciting verses full of personality, where the singer gives his all in an atmosphere that showcases the best of rock and roll.
"American Dream" has a surprising transition to the chorus, creating an experience where we surrender to an atmosphere full of energy, and then we sing along, the track quickly getting stuck in our heads. The song's construction takes us on a wave of euphoria, a mood that explodes after the vocals sing without rhythm in the verses; the chorus is where the cathartic revelation occurs, sending adrenaline through our veins.
"American Dream" portrays something every listener has experienced: everywhere you go, there's a storyteller, sometimes called a "Big Shot" in Brazil, that storyteller who has an advantage in everything, everything he does is the best, everything he does is the most surprising, he exaggerates, invents, with a glass of beer in hand, he's the only one who can't go a moment without talking. What best represents this today would be Donald Trump; when he speaks, sit down because stories are about how incredible everything he does is. He's perhaps the greatest example of a storyteller; he never loses, he's always winning, which is impressive by today's standards. A rock song addressing this sounds comical; we feel represented because we're surrounded by people like that. An anthem that entertains and captivates us with a completely memorable chorus.
