Rachel D releases new single "Powersuit," her first work released this year. Among her other releases is the recently released EP "Blowback."
The new work features a dark sound with an instrumental base firmly rooted in Electro Pop, but also reveals some Indie and Post Rock roots, as well as the artist's love for bands like Joy Division and The Cure. Rachel has been a sound engineer and DJ for many years and originally recorded the vocals as a guide for another artist, but kept them because the Electro-clash feel and the impassive delivery of the dance floor interaction perfectly matched the atmosphere of the song.
"Powersuit" electrifies us with beats that move our bodies; we quickly feel an energy that puts us on a dance floor and we are surrendered to the atmosphere, letting the track flow smoothly through our bodies, with the artist's introspective vocals and an ethereal sound that makes our minds float.
