Simple Sailor lança novo single "Off the Coast of Del Playa" sendo o terceiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Walking Home" e "Premonition".

O novo trabalho de Simple Sailor, traz influências de bandas de indie e rock alternativo do final dos anos 90, como Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Incubus e Weezer. A faixa explora o tema universal de deixar a cidade natal na adolescência, explorando as emoções agridoces da nostalgia e a contemplação do que poderia ter sido. Com uma construção lenta e cativante, a música busca transportar os ouvintes para um reino de introspecção, ressoando não apenas com as experiências pessoais da banda, mas também com estudantes e pessoas que viveram perto da Del Playa Drive, em Isla Vista.

"Off the Coast of Del Playa" nos leva em um indie rock que conecta fortemente em nossas raízes, nos leva para onde crescemos e o estilo sonoro de músicas que passávamos horas ouvindo. A faixa traz uma introdução misteriosa, com batidas fortes, a guitarra começa com seus riffs ainda espaçados, não sabemos para onde a música vai. 

A canção cresce com riffs secos junto com batidas que intensificam, o vocal entra e nos contagia, fechamos os olhos e flutuamos com o coro cantando "OOOHH" antes do refrão, onde encontramos ali o apogeu nostálgico, a vida vai passando diante dos nossos olhos e pensamos em nossos velhos dias onde ainda éramos crianças ou adolescentes, as possibilidades, lembranças, um sorriso é arrancado de nosso rosto, as decepções também aparecem, essa é a vida. 

"Off the Coast of Del Playa" nos leva ao mundo onde tudo era fácil, leve, divertido, inocente, pelo menos aparentemente. A faixa faz a gente cantar juntos, a linha de guitarra eletriza e incendeia completamente, com solo de guitarra que faz a gente ficar alucinados. Com influências dos anos 90, a faixa é um hino autêntico onde podemos encontrar nosso espaço e pertencer a um lugar.

Simple Sailor releases new single "Off the Coast of Del Playa," their third release this year. Previously, they released the singles "Walking Home" and "Premonition."

Simple Sailor's new album draws influences from indie and alternative rock bands from the late 1990s, such as Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Incubus, and Weezer. The track explores the universal theme of leaving one's hometown as a teenager, exploring the bittersweet emotions of nostalgia and the contemplation of what might have been. With a slow and captivating build, the song aims to transport listeners to a realm of introspection, resonating not only with the band's personal experiences but also with students and people who lived near Del Playa Drive in Isla Vista.

"Off the Coast of Del Playa" takes us on an indie rock track that connects us deeply with our roots, taking us back to where we grew up and the sound of the music we spent hours listening to. The track features a mysterious intro with strong beats. The guitar begins with its still-spaced riffs, and we don't know where the song is going.
