Ikevald releases new single "Lick The Sun", his second work released this year. Previously, he released "Bloodredsky".
The new track brings pop soul with a touch of Latin heat, inspired by Ikevald's move from Northern Europe to Spain. Produced and co-written with Pete Barringer and Sarah Rose Campbell, with guitar by Simon Davis, it is a vibrant mix of British songwriting art with Mediterranean energy.
"Lick The Sun" has a groove that infects us, completely addictive with a fresh air that brings the rhythms of a summer, in the mix between pop and rock. We feel the freedom and the fresh breeze of summer on our faces.
"Lick The Sun" makes us feel alive, it infects us with a nice melody, a groove that flows through our veins and in the chorus it explodes with Ikevald's strong and solid vocals. The singer brings a more whispering tone in the first part, then raises the atmosphere to a catchy and powerful chorus that makes us sing along.
"Lick The Sun" has fast rhymes, guitar riffs, pop and rock meet in a hit that brings a delicious feeling in the chorus. Versatile and unpredictable, we don't know where the song is going and we are shocked as it progresses, a new universe presents itself.
