Com o falecimento devastador do pai de Sennen Ludman (vocalista), o falecido guitarrista da icônica banda punk do norte ‘Bedlam Ago Go’, a banda foi formada para homenagear a memória de John. About-faces é uma banda que quer deixar John Ludman orgulhoso.
Seu mais novo single, Learn To Surf, é sobre como gerenciar a tempestade da vida. A metáfora de surfar nas ondas é algo que a banda conhece muito bem. About-Faces releases new single 'Learn to Surf', the first work released this year. Previously, the singles 'Cinematic and Chrome' and 'The River' were released last year.
Starting from humble beginnings, his journey was not an easy one. With the devastating passing of the father of Sennen Ludman (vocalist), the late guitarist of the iconic northern punk band 'Bedlam Ago Go', the band was formed to honor John's memory. About-faces is a band that wants to make John Ludman proud.
His newest single, Learn To Surf, is about managing the storm of life. The metaphor of surfing the waves is something the band knows very well. This uplifting ballad is moving and inspiring. We are taken on an authentic track, which makes us feel alive, with emotions running through our veins. The atmosphere of the track is vibrant, they create an environment that makes our experience live with a high dose of feeling and emotion.
'Learn To Surf' is an indie rock pop that starts with soft synthesizer touches that remind us of the 80s and the captivating vocal with the backing vocals growing. With a sound that manages to take us into a timeless mood, something that is deep and striking. The track in some parts is as if Goo Goo Dolls had had a child with Of Monsters and Men generating About-Faces.

The band is incredible and surprises a lot by releasing one of the best works this year and still leaves us eager to hear more.
