Eddie Cohn lança o novo single "Wave Goodbye" sendo o seu segundo trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado o single "Who or What I Was Before" nesse ano.
Nesse novo trabalho, Eddie chega com um indie rock que nos leva às influências dos anos 80 e 90, com um rock and roll que nos faz imaginar em algo entre U2, The Pixies e INXS em algo que consegue flutuar muito bem entre o rock e o pop, com aquela euforia dos anos 80 que realmente nos faz lembrar U2 na sua fase mais jovem.
"Wave Goodbye" inicia com um toque genial em uma mescla de sintetizador e cordas de guitarra, logo as batidas entram e agitam a faixa. Eddie nos contagia com seu vocal otimista e animado, com o jogo de suas vozes que têm sobreposição uma sobre a outra fazendo a gente vibrar.
"Wave Goodbye" tem também influências do punk rock, algo do post punk, que em alguns trechos nos faz ir para esse ambiente sonoro. Somos levados em um som que vai em um estilo versátil com um refrão que rapidamente nos faz cantar juntos pois gruda na cabeça. O vídeo clipe traz imagens rápidas e que têm um conceito, sua troca de imagens constante nos passa uma perspectiva visual um pouco psicodélica, com Eddie de forma característica perto de uma grade talvez perto de uma rodovia nos contagiando com seus movimentos dançantes com os braços, seu entusiasmo, que nos eletriza do começo ao fim. Eddie Cohn releases the new single "Wave Goodbye" being his second work released this year. Previously, the single “Who or What I Was Before” had been released that year.
In this new work, Eddie arrives with an indie rock that takes us to the influences of the 80s and 90s, with a rock and roll that makes us imagine something between U2, The Pixies and INXS in something that manages to fluctuate very well between rock and pop, with that 80s euphoria that really reminds us of U2 in their younger phase.
"Wave Goodbye" begins with a brilliant touch of a mix of synthesizer and guitar strings, then the beats enter and shake up the track. Eddie infects us with his optimistic and lively vocals, with the play of his voices that overlap one another making us vibrate.
"Wave Goodbye" also has punk rock influences, something post punk, which in some parts takes us to that sound environment. We are taken with a sound that goes in a versatile style with a chorus that quickly makes us sing along as it sticks in our heads. The video clip features quick images that have a concept, its constant exchange of images gives us a slightly psychedelic visual perspective, with Eddie in a characteristic way close to a railing, perhaps close to a highway, infecting us with his dancing movements with his arms, his enthusiasm, which electrifies us from beginning to end.
