Alutepena Hughes-John lança novo single "Platonic" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Without a Care" em 2021 e "Lockdown" em 2020.
'Platonic' foi escrita em 2008 e fazia parte do setlist de 'Anthroppic' (banda que Pena liderava na época). A música em si foi gravada 3 vezes, mas não foi lançada oficialmente. As duas versões anteriores tiveram um tema mais retro pop/rock, enquanto esta versão é mais inclinada para a vibração 2-Tone-esq.
"Platonic" chega com algo autêntico, nos levando em um estilo eclético que traz o pop, rock e o reggae, com jazz, isso sincretizado é chamado de Ska songs. A melodia é gostosa de ouvir, na introdução com toques de violão, as batidas entram, criam um ambiente cativante com a entrada de um som constante agudo que traz uma vibe mais reggae.
"Platonic" tem uma voz marcante, onde a vocalista consegue nos levar com um tom mais agudo e que traz um estilo mais psicodélico com a voz agudo e dispersa em alguns trechos, depois muda para um timbre mais sólido, tornando uma faixa versátil onde a cantora leva como quer e nos faz entrar nesse ritmo que é contagiante.

Alutepena Hughes-John releases new single "Platonic" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles “Without a Care” had already been released in 2021 and “Lockdown” in 2020.
'Platonic' was written in 2008 and was part of the setlist of 'Anthroppic' (the band Pena led at the time). The song itself was recorded 3 times, but was not officially released. The previous two versions had a more retro pop/rock theme, while this version leans more towards a 2-Tone-esq vibe.
"Platonic" arrives with something authentic, taking us in an eclectic style that brings pop, rock and reggae, with jazz, this syncretized is called Ska songs.
