Louise Goffin lança novo single "Promise Yourself" sendo o quarto trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Bigger Than Me" e "All Night in Lafayette".

Louise Goffin releases new single "Promise Yourself," her fourth release this year. Previously, she had released the singles "Bigger Than Me" and "All Night in Lafayette."

It all started around ten o'clock at night. Goffin was working in her home studio when her son arrived and asked to hear what she had. He picked up a guitar and started playing. The two sang nonsensical words over the top, with some real words mixed in, and everything was noted in a reminder on her cell phone. He added a drum beat and the sound of the guitar, and they continued singing words that were barely words. She had the title that night. The rest took a long time.

Mix a melancholic storm song, a sand song, and a well-leafed paperback book, give voice to it, and then light up the night until it responds. That's how music feels at the door of Louise Goffin's world: composing, producing, and traveling to different places to gather energies.

"Promise Yourself" has a contagious melody, bringing that country tapestry of late afternoon, on a day with an orange-orange, pumpkin-like sky and that bluish-violet tone at the edges, a cinematic track for the listener who closes their eyes and lets themselves be carried away by the guitar with its light and disconcerting riffs. The singer perfectly complements this sound, with a relaxing timbre that makes us float on emotions.

With light beats that mark a growing body for the music, we feel lightness in our hearts, with guitar lines that paint an ethereal scenario. The track "Promise Yourself" makes us want to be surrounded by people we like, that cool atmosphere, with a lit bonfire, stars in a clear sky, a bottle of wine. It's a song that wins you over with its solid and light construction.

"Promise Yourself," to give you an idea, is reminiscent of Mazzy Star, that 90s rock that blends with country painting, constantly making us levitate, and then we go on a journey of self-discovery, a personal reflection. It's a relaxing track, perfect for escaping the hectic, anxious, turbulent week; a track that brings a calm and welcoming vibe, with vocals that sound like dream rock.
