Signal-23 lança novo EP "Pillars" sendo o primeiro grande trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado singles que fazem parte do EP, um trabalho desse nível que é debute do duo.
Signal-23 é um duo com integrantes em San Diego e Nova York que cria música eletrônica sombria e atmosférica, influenciada por Moderat, Apparat e Jon Hopkins. "Pillars" é o EP de estreia, com cinco faixas construídas em sintetizadores modulares, baterias eletrônicas e equipamentos vintage, incluindo um Omnichord modificado. O som transita entre percussão hipnótica, graves profundos e texturas ambientais expansivas. O duo tem u. engenheiro de aprendizado de máquina, e o outro, psiquiatra.
"Pieces" é a primeira canção, com um ambiente que traz sons naturais, a gente entra em uma jornada como se estivéssemos em uma corrida no meio do mato, com som de rio, chuva, pássaros cantando e um arranjo ao fundo que vai crescendo, tornando-se potente e poderoso, acumulando energia, uma onda sonora que chega em seu ápice e depois some, isso cria uma sensação de desespero, alerta, é algo tribal e transcendental, retrô futurista. Na sequência tem um toque de sintetizador que muda o tom da faixa, é versátil.
"Pillars" é a segunda faixa, com beats cativantes, sintetizador fresco, a faixa homônima do EP tem uma atmosfera que traz leveza, novos horizontes são mostrados, a gente se desconecta de tudo ao redor e deixamos a faixa fluir em nosso corpo. Suave, detalhista em seus sons, a canção rapidamente nos leva em um ambiente único, onde podemos ir em uma jornada de autodescoberta. O arranjo é perfeito para sentir no fone de ouvido, onde conseguimos sentir todas as ondas sonoras, a gente flutua e levita.
"Reset" é a terceira canção, com sintetizador que nos eletriza no início, criando uma atmosfera mágica, tem um estilo psicodélico que hipnotiza a gente. Os beats são constantes, cativam, o sintetizador se altera e traz a diferença, nos levando de um lado para o outro. É eletrizante quando entra um som que atua como se fosse um choque. A melodia é suave, moderna, reprograma nossa mente.
"Decay" é a quarta canção, com um início mais sombrio, misterioso, tem uma nostalgia de uma tendência dos anos 80, isso é fascinante logo no começo. As batidas entram, criam uma atmosfera agitada e que traz aquele som de uma noite eletrizante, com uma energia gostosa, pulsante e que mexe nosso corpo lentamente.
"Pillars (Ambient)" é algo épico, fascinante, uma faixa que faz nossa mente ser anestesiada, um soundscape que é cinemático, a imagem depende da nossa mente fértil, onde podemos ir para lugares nunca visto antes. É uma experiência imersiva, catártica, atua na base da melodia etérea que passa algo mágico aos ouvintes.

Signal-23 releases new EP "Pillars," their first major release this year. Previously, they had released singles that are part of the EP, a work of this caliber that marks the duo's debut.
Signal-23 is a duo composed of San Diego and New Yorkers who create dark and atmospheric electronic music, influenced by Moderat, Apparat, and Jon Hopkins. "Pillars" is their debut EP, with five tracks built on modular synthesizers, electronic drums, and vintage equipment, including a modified Omnichord. The sound transitions between hypnotic percussion, deep bass, and expansive ambient textures. The duo consists of one person, a machine learning engineer, and the other, a psychiatrist.
"Pieces" is the first song, with an atmosphere that brings natural sounds. We enter a journey as if we were in a race through the woods, with the sound of a river, rain, birds singing, and a background arrangement that grows, becoming potent and powerful, accumulating energy, a sound wave that reaches its peak and then some, creating a feeling of despair, alertness; it's something tribal and transcendental, retro-futuristic. The sequence has a touch of synthesizer that changes the tone of the track; it's versatile.
"Pillars" is the second track, with captivating beats and a fresh synthesizer. The title track of the EP has an atmosphere that brings lightness, new horizons are shown, we disconnect from everything around us and let the track flow through our bodies. Smooth, meticulous in its creations, the song quickly takes us to a unique environment where we can go on a journey of self-discovery. The arrangement is perfect for listening with headphones, where you can feel all the sound waves; you float and levitate.

The beats come in, creating a lively atmosphere that brings that sound of an electrifying night, with a pleasant, pulsating energy that slowly moves our bodies.
"Pillars (Ambient)" is something epic, fascinating, a track that numbs our minds, a cinematic soundscape, an image dependent on our fertile minds, where we can go to places never seen before.
