Live Oak Sunburst conta a história de "Lurleen" em trad folk cativante

Live Oak Sunburst lança novo single "Lurleen" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Swamp Mother" e "Station Wagon".

Em 1943, George Wallace, de 24 anos, narcisista, demagogo e futuro governador do estado do Alabama, casou-se com uma criança. Seu nome era Lurleen, e esta é a história dela, que chegou a ser governadora após o marido não poder mais concorrer pelo estado de Alabama devido a restrição constitucional de proibir mandatos consecutivos, Lurleen foi eleita e o marido George Wallace se tornou o primeiro cavalheiro.

"Lurleen" é uma canção marcante, um trad folk, country, que nos leva em uma história sobre essa personagem, que acabou se casando com George Wallace com apenas 16 anos de idade, passou por turbulências como em qualquer casamento e por obsessão de Wallace, se tornou governadora para a família continuar no poder. 

"Lurleen" tem uma sonoridade cativante, com violão que nos envolve, de forma simples, mas que nos aquece, como se estivéssemos ouvindo uma história sendo contada de perto, de forma intimista, ao redor de uma fogueira, o vocal com aspecto rasgado, timbre que carrega história e experiência da vida, um ambiente completamente enriquecedor. Os amantes de country vão sentir esse ambiente, os amantes de história ficarão impressionados na arte e o poder de poder se comunicar na música através da história.

"Lurleen" é forte, com uma narrativa sobre uma mulher que se casou aos 16 anos, tornou-se uma das únicas governadoras do estado de Alabama em sua história (só outra mulher conseguiu o feito recentemente) e infelizmente teve um câncer que veio a falecer aos 41 anos, ainda muito jovem, em 1968.

Live Oak Sunburst releases new single "Lurleen," their first release of the year. Previously, they released the singles "Swamp Mother" and "Station Wagon."

In 1943, George Wallace, a 24-year-old narcissist and demagogue, and future governor of Alabama, married a child. Her name was Lurleen, and this is her story. She became governor after her husband was barred from running for governor due to a constitutional restriction prohibiting consecutive terms. Lurleen was elected, and her husband, George Wallace, became First Gentleman.

"Lurleen" is a striking song, a traditional folk/country tune, that tells the story of this character, who married George Wallace at only 16 years old, went through the turbulence of any marriage, and, driven by Wallace's obsession, became governor to keep the family in power.

"Lurleen" has a captivating sound, with a simple yet warming guitar that envelops us, as if we were listening to a story being told up close, intimately, around a campfire. The vocals have a raspy quality, a timbre that carries history and life experience, creating a completely enriching atmosphere. Country music lovers will feel this atmosphere, and history buffs will be impressed by the art and the power of communicating through music and storytelling.

"Lurleen" is powerful, with a narrative about a woman who married at 16, became one of the only female governors of Alabama in its history (only one other woman has achieved this feat recently), and unfortunately, she contracted cancer and died at the young age of 41 in 1968.
