From the electropunk protest energy of "Hey Hey Hate" to the hyperpop critique of consumerism in "Pretty Sparkly Things," the band has earned a reputation as one of the most uncompromising voices in avant-garde electronic music, combining rhythm and rebellion with cinematic precision. Formed in a makeshift basement studio in New York City, Energy Whores is led by Carrie Schoenfeld (a classically trained pianist, independent filmmaker, and Off-Broadway producer) alongside guitarist Attilio Valenti. Carrie has cultivated a unique sound, part synthesized rebellion, part political theater, earning critical acclaim for her genre-defying releases and her art-oriented ethic.
"Electric Friends" begins with a smooth sound, transporting our minds to an atmosphere that makes us float, with a fresh synthesizer and an ethereal vibe that envelops us through the arrangement.
