Chris Maragoth releases new single 'Bury My Remains', the first work released this year. Previously, the album 'Gatherer of Souls' was released last year.
'Bury My Remains' is a Melodic Metal track that incorporates elements of Metalcore and Melodic Death Metal. The lyrics explore the questioning of established ideals and belief systems. Throughout the narrative, the song's protagonist comes to understand that these constructions are subject to change, which causes a destabilizing mix of anger, fear and pain. What remains is the realization that the self-imposed constraints of past ideals no longer seem coherent and therefore can no longer be sustained.
With a disconcerting touch that features strong and vibrant beats, a sweeping guitar solo and that adrenaline that runs through our veins in metal, the introduction to this anthem is full of energy, sure to sweep the crowd off their feet.
The vocals enter, with a stripped-down style and a very captivating tone, we are taken with the solo in the background and the engaging beats. 'Bury My Remains' is strong and powerful, making us go to the chorus that has a guttural vocal that is striking, bringing a little pain and anger, spreading fear in this partnership with Aeon of Awareness.
'Bury My Remains' sets us on fire inside, we go in search of breaking the paradigms and old models that are imposed by society, a subversive track, which makes us fill with anger and fury if we stop to think about all of this.
'Bury My Remains' has a striking music video, apparently a woman is looking at photos of her boyfriend perhaps, a soldier killed in action, and then his ghost appears behind to haunt her mind. So thinking about all this causes him torture in his mind and anger, and what this woman is left with are his photos.
