Coma Beach lança novo EP 'I Won't Listen' com 4 faixas sendo o segundo trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado o single 'Extreme Masochist'.
Este EP, nomeado após seu primeiro single "I Won't Listen", apresenta as seguintes quatro músicas do álbum "The Scapegoat's Agony", todas as quais foram ligeiramente resumidas para este lançamento.
"I Won't Listen" é a faixa nº 12 e o quinto single do álbum "The Scapegoat's Agony". O título do álbum é uma alusão à peça "Waiting for Godot" do dramaturgo e romancista irlandês Samuel Beckett e aponta para a dolorosa e excruciante odisseia emocional do anti-herói anônimo. Versátil, a faixa inicia como um rock clássico dos anos 70, em um estilo crescente. Aos poucos, ela vai nos contagiando. De repente, tem uma mudança nas batidas e na guitarra, que deixa um estilo mais punk. A letra é punk, como se não tivesse ligando para a sociedade ou que falam para você, se setindo como alguém livre e torcendo para os conselheiros desaparecerem.
"The Past Of The Future" é a faixa nº 1 do álbum "The Scapegoat's Agony". Lançado no implacável turbilhão do tempo, a faixa traz uma introdução longa que causa bastante suspense e mistério, com sons que parecem ventos e uma campainha. A guitarra vai entrando e percebemos que é um hino do punk, com batidas que vibra a gente por dentro. O vocal ao estilo gutural entra e canta com atitude e autenticidade. É como se o passado fosse te buscar um dia para ser sua vitima, um pesadelo que nunca passa.
(3) "Passion" é a faixa #6 do álbum "The Scapegoat's Agony".
Com uma introdução épica que lembra algo dos anos 70 ou algo como 'Satellite of Love' de Lou Reed, somos levados nessa melodia que é intensa e profunda, soando como um hino do rock quando a guitarra é chamada para um solo que nos arrepia e arrebata. O vocal é denso, forte, cativante, como se estivesse contando uma história. É uma faixa reflexiva onde o personagem perdeu seu brilho da juventude. Ocorre uma alteração do ritmo da canção onde chega o punk e fica agitada e o personagem clama pelo seu momento de rendição e libertação.
4) "Another Song" é a faixa nº 11 (e o terceiro single) do álbum "The Scapegoat's Agony".
Dando uma boa olhada nos absurdos e crueldades da vida cotidiana, o anti-herói anônimo recorre ao sarcasmo e ao cinismo para lidar com o que considera a total falta de sentido da existência humana. Uma faixa que funciona bem em um universo punk com algo mais country do velho oeste vindo do violão, como um velho oeste sem lei e ainda tem as injustiças desse mundo sendo retratados como mais um dia normal cantado com furor e raiva.
O novo EP está sensacional, nos impressionando em sua honestidade de composição e como a história faz seu curso nessas 4 faixas que conversam entre si.

Coma Beach launches new EP 'I Won't Listen' with 4 tracks, the second work released this year. Previously, the single 'Extreme Masochist' had been released.
This EP, named after their first single "I Won't Listen", features the following four songs from the album "The Scapegoat's Agony", all of which have been slightly abridged for this release.
"I Won't Listen" is track #12 and the fifth single from the album "The Scapegoat's Agony". The album's title is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points to the painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the anonymous antihero. Versatile, the track starts as classic rock from the 70s, in a soaring style. Little by little, it infects us. Suddenly, there is a change in the beats and guitar, which gives it a more punk style. The lyrics are punk, as if you don't care about society or what they talk to you, feeling like someone free and hoping that the counselors will disappear.
"The Past Of The Future" is the #1 track on the album "The Scapegoat's Agony". Released in the relentless whirlwind of time, the track features a long introduction that causes a lot of suspense and mystery, with sounds that resemble winds and a bell. The guitar comes in and we realize that it's a punk anthem, with beats that vibrate us inside. The guttural style vocal comes in and sings with attitude and authenticity. It's as if the past will seek you out one day to be its victim, a nightmare that never passes.
(3) "Passion" is track #6 on the album "The Scapegoat's Agony".
With an epic introduction that reminds us of something from the 70s or something like Lou Reed's 'Satellite of Love', we are taken into this melody that is intense and deep, sounding like a rock anthem when the guitar is called for a solo that gives us goosebumps and snatches. The vocal is dense, strong, captivating, as if it were telling a story. It is a reflective strip where the character has lost his youthful glow. There is a change in the rhythm of the song where punk arrives and becomes agitated and the character calls for his moment of surrender and liberation.
4) "Another Song" is track #11 (and the third single) from the album "The Scapegoat's Agony".
Taking a hard look at the absurdities and cruelties of everyday life, the anonymous antihero resorts to sarcasm and cynicism to deal with what he sees as the utter meaninglessness of human existence. A track that works well in a punk universe with something more old west country coming from the guitar, like a lawless old west and still has the injustices of this world being portrayed as just another normal day sung with fury and anger.
The new EP is sensational, impressing us with its honest composition and how the story takes its course in these 4 tracks that speak to each other.
