Genevieve Sovereign lança novo single "Random Number" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Midday Blue" e "Present Dreams".
Co-escrita com o produtor e multi-instrumentista Michael Wheeler, “Random Number” é uma aventura divertida sobre as oportunidades e fortunas que a vida oferece, através de cada escolha que enfrentamos. Construído inicialmente com base em amostras vocais gravadas casualmente durante a primeira visita de Sovereign ao estúdio de Wheeler no início de fevereiro de 2024, a inspiração surgiu quase instantaneamente. A mixagem final foi então decidida e os vocais principais gravados durante a próxima visita do Sovereign ao estúdio em meados de fevereiro, com o Master final pronto para ser lançado no início de março. Observa Sovereign: “Esta foi possivelmente a faixa mais suave, rápida e ainda mais orgânica que já fiz. De certa forma, parecia que ele se criava sozinho e eu estava acompanhando o passeio!”
Como faixa principal do próximo LP de Sovereign, este último single destaca seu contínuo crescimento artístico desde a fusão de gêneros de 2022, “It’s yours”. Genevieve Sovereign releases new single "Random Number" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles “Midday Blue” and “Present Dreams” had been released. Co-written with producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Wheeler, “Random Number” is a rollicking adventure about the opportunities and fortunes that life offers, through every choice we face. Initially built around vocal samples casually recorded during Sovereign's first visit to Wheeler's studio in early February 2024, inspiration struck almost instantly. The final mix was then decided upon and lead vocals recorded during Sovereign's next visit to the studio in mid-February, with the final Master ready for release in early March. Notes Sovereign: “This was possibly the smoothest, fastest and yet most organic track I've ever made. In a way, it felt like he created himself and I was along for the ride!” As the lead track from Sovereign’s upcoming LP, this latest single highlights her continued artistic growth since 2022’s genre-bending “It’s Yours.” EP and subsequent independent singles “Midday Blue”, “Life Soaked Reveal”, “Present Dreams” which enjoyed generous levels of coverage in the blogosphere, social media and internet radio, as well as on community radio in Australia. "Random Number" is a sound built in a detailed and minimalist way in each sound and effect that takes us to the avant garden in fusion with experimental electronic pop, creating a sound atmosphere that makes our mind go crazy with the interactions and the way of singing by Genevieve, who perfectly combines her vocal tone and her lightness when singing.
