Svavar Knutur lança novo single "While The World Burns (Repainted)" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano.
É uma canção de amor apocalíptica. Uma reflexão sobre o amor no fim do mundo, o que ter alguém em sua vida que significa muito para você, que tudo ficará bem, se nossos últimos momentos puderem ser passados nos braços um do outro.
Um arranjo simples, mas elegante de guitarra, piano, baixo e trio de cordas, juntamente com uma percussão suave e as duas vozes entrelaçadas do cantor islandês Svavar Knútur e da lenda norueguesa Helene Bøksle. A música faz parte do Ahoy! álbum, o capítulo final do projeto de quatro partes de Svavar Knútur: Canções de miséria e redenção, que compreende seus álbuns solo Kvöldvaka (músicas perto do fogo), Ölduslóð (caminho das ondas), Brot (a quebra) e agora Ahoy! Lados A e B.

Svavar Knutur releases new single "While The World Burns (Repainted)" being the first work released this year. It's an apocalyptic love song. A reflection on love at the end of the world, that there is someone in your life who means a lot to you, that everything is okay, that our last moments can be spent in each other's arms. A simple but elegant arrangement of guitar, piano, bass and string trio, along with gentle percussion and the two intertwining voices of English singer Svavar Knútur and Norwegian legend Helene Bøksle. The song is part of Ahoy! album, the final chapter of Svavar Knútur's four-part project: Songs of Misery and Redemption, which comprises his solo albums Kvöldvaka (Songs Near the Fire), Ölduslóð (Way of the Waves), Brot (The Break) and now Ahoy! Sides A and B. "While The World Burns" has a very captivating introduction with a touch of acoustic guitar that takes us into this wonderful folk song. The sound is unique, intimate. The vocals enter with a solid style, making our mind relax with a harmony that leaves a smooth track. In this duet partnership with Helene Bøksle, the artist sings with emotion and soul, imposing her timbre that is sweet, charming, then bringing her high notes in contrast to Svavar.
