Red Barnett lança novo EP "Rise" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os álbuns "Astronauts" em 2020 e "Shine" em 2015.
Este é o terceiro lançamento do Red Barnett, com sede em Reykjavik, após dois álbuns indicados a prêmios, 'Shine' (2015) e 'Astronauts' (2020). A música de Red Barnett tem sido frequentemente descrita como cinematográfica e épica, além de apresentar melodias melancólicas em delicados arranjos acústicos.
Para começar, tem a primeira canção "Rise" que chega para iniciar o trabalho com uma introdução que parece ser um noticiário. Logo, entra a melodia com o toque de piano e um vocal que nos contagia pela sua leveza e harmonia total com a sonoridade. Um toque acústico, mais dark, que nos coloca completamente dentro de "Rise".
A segunda canção "Maybe You're On Your Own" tem uma pegada de folk futuristico, com um som acústico que nos contagia e traz leveza aos ouvintes e um vocal versátil que traz uma vibe remixada em alguns trechos da música. E serena, relaxante, nos faz cantar juntos.
"Home , Pt. II" é a quarta faixa, com uma melodia que aquece nossos corações, com cordas de violão sendo tocadas, é uma beleza sonora e que nos contagia nos conectando fortemente na música. O vocal tem uma voz delicada, profunda, entrega tudo de si para fazer uma performance intimista com um timbre mais rouco nessa balada folk romântica.
A quinta canção "Into The Deep" inicia com um toque desconcertante, uma introdução que faz nossa mente flutuar. O vocal entra com efeitos como se fosse uma voz gravada e vintage. O toque de cordas continuam na frequência, com batidas que vão entrando e construindo a faixa. Profunda, misteriosa, somos levados em um clima mais dark dentro de um rock alternativo.
Para finalizar, sem muito spoiler, tem a última canção "The Traveller" um folk profundo que é incrível ouvir em sua própria companhia, com aspecto infinito e etéreo na melodia, deixe a canção fluir em sua mente, finalizando o EP de forma primorosa e elegante, com algo marcante nesse trabalho "Rise", versátil indo do folk a algo com influências de rock alternativo, pop folk, um EP memorável de Red Barnett.

Red Barnett releases new EP "Rise" being the first work released this year. Previously, the albums “Astronauts” had been released in 2020 and “Shine” in 2015. This is the third release from Reykjavik-based Red Barnett, following two award-nominated albums, 'Shine' (2015) and 'Astronauts' (2020). Red Barnett's music has often been described as cinematic and epic, as well as featuring melancholic melodies in delicate acoustic arrangements. To begin with, there is the first song "Rise" which begins the work with an introduction that seems to be a news report. Soon, the melody enters with the touch of piano and a vocal that infects us with its lightness and total harmony with the sound. An acoustic, darker touch that puts us completely inside "Rise". The second song "Maybe You're On Your Own" has a futuristic folk feel, with an acoustic sound that infects us and brings lightness to listeners and a versatile vocal that brings a remixed vibe to some parts of the song.
