Kinga Angelys releases the new pop single "Running on Empty" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles “Honey (Is Where My Honey Is)” and “Good Things Are Coming” had been released.
Since 2019, Kinga Angelys has been making music with a message. Her new single explores an issue she has seen impact people who reach a limit with their energy in their daily lives, balancing demands at home, work, school and social media. In "Running on Empty," Kinga offers an intimate internal dialogue about the early stages of burnout. Although common, burnout remains an isolating experience for many and deserves a vulnerable voice. This single does just that and invites the listener to delve deeper into the topic with greater sensitivity and awareness, as well as permission to slow down, preserve passion and production, and assess what kind of support is needed to recharge.
"Running on Empty" has an introduction that enchants us, soft and light as cotton, it is sweet to our ears in its melody with ukelele strings. The track then comes with beats like electro pop and has a game of voices from Kinga that makes us float. Soon, a ballad atmosphere sets in, with beats that are engaging and danceable.
Kinga sings very smoothly, with her very versatile voice, managing to reach lower tones and higher tones, winning us over with this expressive way of singing that warms our hearts. The track has all its energy and vibration, with a section that has a change becoming more rock with chords that grow, then returning to the last electro pop chorus.
