GF Morgan lança o novo álbum "Magenta" que chega com 11 faixas em um estilo folk tradicional que promete nos levar em uma aventura gostosa em suas melodias.
Gf Morgan encanta e diverte o público há mais de 40 anos com suas interpretações de baladas clássicas, canções originais, jigs, reels, hornpipes e sea chanties. O seu trabalho gravado foi aclamado pela crítica internacional e o seu trabalho como apresentador de rádio em estações independentes na costa atlântica trouxe-lhe ainda mais aplausos. Seu lançamento atual, "Magenta", segue os passos de seu trabalho anterior aclamado pela crítica, "Driftwood".
A primeira faixa que inaugura a obra "Bonny George Campbell" é como uma história sendo contada, cantada em um estilo suave e sólido que passa confiança da parte de GF Morgan, que nos cativa completamente com a elegância vocal que combina com a melodia muito bem feita e elaborada com violão com folk bem suave e um som de violino em flashs ao fundo no arranjo. Nossa mente conegue viajar para longe e podemos imaginar esse ambiente mais folk e rural e vivenciar tudo isso,começando com tudo.
A segunda canção "An Mhaighead Mhara" é instrumental, um som que soa de forma doce aos nossos ouvidos, com som de sanfona ao fundo, trazendo uma melodia única. Sinceramente, é um sonho acordar em uma casa no interior, preparar o melhor que tem para tomar um belo café da manhã na mesa com a família ouvindo essa canção que coloca paz no ambiente, ouvindo os sons naturais do lugar como os pássaros.
"Magenta" é a terceira canção, começa com um toque de violão bem cativante, corda por corda em um ritmo que vai crescendo. Em uma mescla de introdução de um rock clássico dos anos 70, a faixa instrumental cria um ambiente místico ao redor das cordas do violão que consegue nos prender nesse espectro sonoro igualmente da cor que não existe, essa faixa parece ser um devaneio de uma outra dimensão folk mais medieval.
"The Great Sun" é a sexta canção, que chega com um ambiente clássico e elegante, um som que parece ser violino ao fundo ou sanfona bem sutil, é uma faixa que consegue nos levar na introdução que é um longo caminho. Aqui no Brasil está uma onda de calor enorme, então esse longo caminho posso imaginar sob o grande Sol. GF Morgan traz seu poderoso vocal, que podemos sentir intensidade e ternura em suas palavras, uma expressividade autêntica que traz vida a essa melodia maravilhosa.
"Vale of The Red Wolf" traz uma sonoridade que nos lembra um velho oeste, um som que faz a gente se sentir um Cowboy. Em mais de 5 minutos de canção, os riffs mais graves trazem versatilidade para a faixa e lhe conferem mistério e um lado mais sombrio nessa canção.
O álbum passa por "Roslyne Castle" que é a nona canção, com um som bem sólido construído em cordas progressivas e muita suavidade. A décima canção é "Josefin's Walz" trazendo um ambiente folk mais leve, lento com 2 violões, um base e outro mais nas cordas, entra a sanfona (ou gaita) ao fundo trazendo algo doce e envolvente.
Para finalizar, sem muito spoiler, tem a décima primeira faixa "Lo, How a Rose/Planxty Irwin" que finaliza essa obra prima em alto nível, nos conectando fortemente nessa última faixa que é para deixar nossos corações leves e flutuarmos sobre o violão magnífico de GF Morgan.

GF Morgan releases the new album "Magenta" which comes with 11 tracks in a traditional folk style that promises to take us on a delightful adventure in its melodies.
Gf Morgan has enchanted and entertained audiences for over 40 years with her interpretations of classic ballads, original songs, jigs, reels, hornpipes and sea chanties. His recorded work has received international critical acclaim, and his work as a radio presenter on independent stations on the Atlantic coast has brought him even more acclaim. Her current release, “Magenta,” follows in the footsteps of her critically acclaimed previous effort, “Driftwood.”
The first track that opens the work "Bonny George Campbell" is like a story being told, sung in a smooth and solid style that conveys confidence on the part of GF Morgan, who completely captivates us with the vocal elegance that matches the melody very well. made and elaborated with acoustic guitar with very soft folk and a flashing violin sound in the background of the arrangement. In an intro mix of classic rock from the 70s, the instrumental track creates a mystical environment around the guitar strings that manages to trap us in this sound spectrum of equally non-existent color, this track seems to be a daydream from another dimension more medieval folk.
"The Great Sun" is the sixth song, which arrives with a classic and elegant atmosphere, a sound that seems to be a violin in the background or a very subtle accordion, it is a track that manages to take us through the introduction, which is a long way. Here in Brazil there is a huge heat wave, so I can imagine this long journey under the great sun. GF Morgan brings his powerful vocals, which we can feel intensity and tenderness in his words, an authentic expressiveness that brings life to this wonderful melody.
"Vale of The Red Wolf" brings a sound that reminds us of an old west, a sound that makes us feel like a Cowboy. In more than 5 minutes of song, the deeper riffs bring versatility to the track and give it mystery and a darker side to this song.
The album goes through "Roslyne Castle" which is the ninth song, with a very solid sound built on progressive strings and a lot of softness. The tenth song is "Josefin's Walz" bringing a lighter, slower folk atmosphere with 2 guitars, one base and the other on the strings, the accordion (or harmonica) enters in the background bringing something sweet and engaging.
Finally, without too many spoilers, there is the eleventh track "Lo, How a Rose/Planxty Irwin" which ends this masterpiece on a high level, connecting us strongly in this last track that is meant to leave our hearts light and float on the magnificent guitar by GF Morgan.
In this album "Magenta" GF Morgan brings his singing side which is always incredible to hear his solid and serious timbre, with a ripped and hoarse vocal and also his instrumental songs that make us feel life in a simple and brilliant guitar touch.
