Creating music for the pure feeling of self-fulfillment and passion, not obeying trends, current genres or easily digestible compositional styles, are part of b.d. Gottfried's formula for his music. Over the past decade, Bill Gottfried has recorded nine self-titled albums that have received rave reviews and airplay around the world.
Scheduled for a spring release, Ghosts and Girls is b.d. Gottfried's tenth solo album. Produced and co-written with Juno award winner Siegfried Meier, this album once again disregards what is typically expected of an experienced composer. Aware of the constant changes we are subject to, this collection of songs caresses the pain and joy of being alive today. An album of stories in music. Songs that address the difficulties and challenges we all face and from our ancestral past. With social media constantly demanding our attention and pulling us in different directions, it's increasingly difficult to determine what's important and what's true. This collection of songs are heartfelt representations of the canvas we call life.
'Live, Fight & Die', the pre-release track and video for Ghosts and Girls, reflects the energy and carefree lifestyle of the youth of the past. The devil may care about the boys who call themselves “Rats.” They live in the moment and the greater the emotion, the better.
