NOTNORTH lança novo single "Gatorade Love" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "River Don't Run" e "Black Dog".
NOTNORTH é inspirado na teatralidade e evolução de artistas como David Bowie, Lady Gaga e The Killers, e no expressionismo de coração aberto de bandas de rock como Editors e The Bravery.
Em 2022, DAT estava sentado em um bar, tentando desesperadamente juntar as peças de uma nova música. Ele havia escrito um refrão e uma ponte, mas faltava a cola que manteria seus temas unidos. Quando sua bebida chegou, ele pensou em todos os nomes criativos de coquetéis que estavam sendo lançados e decidiu construir seus versos em torno deles: “Antiquado em Manhattan, nu e famoso”. A música, ”Gatorade Love”, é sobre inúmeras sedes : aquele para um coquetel; aquele dos seres sexuais um para o outro; e aqueles que são específicos de certos cantos da comunidade.
"Gatorade Love" chega com riffs marcantes, uma introdução instrumental que é forte e que desconcerta o amante de indie rock. Com batidas cativantes e fortes, somos eletrizados nesse início vibrante e cheio de energia.
O vocal entra na canção de forma despojada, canta para conquistar, em uma performance cheia de atitude, aquela expressividade de um verdadeiro vocalista do rock.

NOTNORTH releases new single "Gatorade Love" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles "River Don't Run" and "Black Dog" had already been released.
NOTNORTH is inspired by the theatricality and evolution of artists like David Bowie, Lady Gaga and The Killers, and the open-hearted expressionism of rock bands like Editors and The Bravery.
In 2022, DAT was sitting in a bar, desperately trying to piece together a new song. He had written a chorus and a bridge, but was missing the glue that would hold his themes together. When his drink arrived, he thought of all the creative cocktail names that were being thrown around and decided to build his verse around them: “Old-fashioned in Manhattan, naked and famous.” The song, “Gatorade Love,” is about countless thirsts: that for a cocktail; that of sexual beings for each other; and those that are specific to certain corners of the community.
"Gatorade Love" arrives with striking riffs, an instrumental introduction that is strong and disconcerting the indie rock lover. With catchy and strong beats, we are electrified in this vibrant and energetic beginning.
The vocals enter the song in a relaxed way, singing to achieve, in a performance full of attitude, that expressiveness of a true rock vocalist.
"Gatorade Love" is a metaphor for all the drinks, Gatorade the next day is essential for a hangover, to give you energy. The antidote to all this is "Gatorade Love". With a chorus that makes us vibrate, we sing together in a contagious way.
