JACK RAYMOND lança o novo álbum The Long Story Short" sendo o primeiro trabalho do tipo lançado pelo artista e o segundo trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado alguns singles que fazem parte do álbum.
Jack Raymond é de Sunshine Coast, Queensland, no norte da Austrália. O artista traz um álbum debute maravilhoso. Com um folk, roots, algo que nos leva para uma experiência genial, Jack tem viralizado e tem alcançado já quase 20k streams mensais no spotify.
Para começar, tem o hino que já nos conquista "We've All Been There", a primeira canção que sentimos o som de saxofone no início na introdução, nos aquecendo com uma linda melodia. O violão o acompanha nee folk muito bem elaborado. O vocal de Jack entra forte, rasgado, já nos lembra algo vintage ou Bruce Springsteen. A canção cresce quando entram a batidas cativantes, em um som único que nos arrepia e faz cantar juntos. A melodia suave, que nos conecta com a letra, sentimos a faixa fluir em nosso corpo. Imagino estar viajando a noite pelo interior ouvindo essa canção, uma vibe muito gostosa. Jack entrega tudo aqui.
A segunda faixa "Harriet" tem um clima mais pop reggae com folk, algo também do jazz, uma canção que fluída, que não fica presa a um gênero específico. Somos levados pelas batidas suaves e cativantes, que desaceleram nossos corações e tem também o toque especial do teclado, com uma vibe anos 80 junto com o vocal sólido e poderoso de Jack, é incrível pois é profunda e crescente, o vocal de Jack lembra também o vocal de Richie Sambora ex guitarrista do Bon Jovi. Pela melodia, "Harriet" seria uma balada romantica folk.
"Make Hay" é a quinta canção. Com uma melodia agradável, para ouvir no cair da noite, com batidas bem sauves e sútis, riffs característicos do country e folk, um dedilhado que nos eletriza por dentro, toda essa intensidade sonora com pausas em trechos de transição onde dão foco para a brilhante e incendiadora voz de Jack, seu vocal é emotivo, como se mesmo para o ouvinte que não entende o inglês, mas consegue sentir emoção e algo que faz isso ficar forte por dentro. A faixa em sua metade tem uma mudança de ritmo que é genial, com a entrada de saxofone e as batidas ficam agitadas, nos fazendo vibrar por dentro, nos deixa motivados e traz esperança.
"Water Water" muda um pouco com uma melodia marcada por batidas sutis e ainda um teclado que traz uma vibe mais sofisticada no início. Depois, no decorrer da canção entra batidas e um toque de violão que nos coloca para andar em uma noite de verão em meio a natureza. Imagino estar acampando em um monte, vendo o céu estrelado como nunca e a cor do céu bem diferente da cidade grande, uma cançao que tem uma atmosfera crescente e nos permite sonhar com grandes coisas, um refrão que gruda e nos faz cantar juntos com o backing vocal no coro "OOOOOHHHH".
Para finalizar com a sétima faixa, sem muito spoiler, somos surpreendidos com um blues que nos queima por dentro com riffs clássicos e algo que nos leva para o rock and roll anos 60 e 70 no refrão em "Money Won't Buy Hapiness".
O novo álbum é surpreendente, um folk com influências de outros gêneros como jazz, algo mais rock, um pouco do pop e roots, é uma verdadeira experiência que os ouvintes podem encontrar nesse grande lançamento do ano até aqui. Jack entrega tudo de si em seu poderoso e estrondoso vocal, algo como se fosse David Coverdale, Bruce Springsteen ou Richie Sambora cantando. O folk em sua raíz com o som contemporâneo e versátil.

JACK RAYMOND releases the new album The Long Story Short", being the first work of its kind released by the artist and the second work released this year. Previously, some singles that are part of the album had been released.
Jack Raymond is from Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in northern Australia. The artist brings a wonderful debut album. With a folk, roots, something that takes us to a brilliant experience, Jack has gone viral and has already reached almost 20k monthly streams on Spotify.
To begin with, he has the anthem that already wins us over "We've All Been There", the first song in which we hear the sound of the saxophone at the beginning of the introduction, warming us up with a beautiful melody. The guitar accompanies him in a very well-crafted folk style. Jack's vocals come in strong, ripped, it already reminds us of something vintage or Bruce Springsteen. The song grows when the catchy beats come in, creating a unique sound that gives you goosebumps and makes you sing along. The soft melody, which connects us with the lyrics, we feel the track flow through our body. I imagine traveling at night through the countryside listening to this song, a really nice vibe. Jack delivers everything here.
The second track "Harriet" has a more pop reggae atmosphere with folk, something also from jazz, a song that is fluid, that is not tied to a specific genre. We are carried away by the soft and captivating beats, which slow down our hearts and also have the special touch of the keyboard, with an 80s vibe along with Jack's solid and powerful vocal, it is incredible because it is deep and growing, Jack's vocal is also reminiscent of the vocals of Richie Sambora, former Bon Jovi guitarist. Based on the melody, "Harriet" would be a romantic folk ballad.
"Make Hay" is the fifth song. With a pleasant melody, to listen to at nightfall, with very soft and subtle beats, riffs characteristic of country and folk, a strumming that electrifies us inside, all this sound intensity with pauses in transition sections where they focus on the brilliant and Jack's incendiary voice, his vocal is emotional, as if even for the listener who doesn't understand English, but can feel emotion and something that makes it strong inside. The track in its middle has a change of rhythm that is brilliant, with the saxophone entering and the beats becoming agitated, making us vibrate inside, leaving us motivated and bringing hope.
"Water Water" changes a little with a melody marked by subtle beats and a keyboard that brings a more sophisticated vibe at the beginning. Then, as the song progresses, there are beats and a guitar touch that sets us off on a summer night in the middle of nature. I imagine being camping on a hill, seeing the starry sky like never before and the color of the sky very different from the big city, a song that has a growing atmosphere and allows us to dream of great things, a chorus that sticks and makes us sing together with the backing vocals on the chorus "OOOOOHHHH".
To finish with the seventh track, without too many spoilers, we are surprised with a blues that burns us inside with classic riffs and something that takes us to 60s and 70s rock and roll in the chorus in "Money Won't Buy Hapiness".
The new album is surprising, folk with influences from other genres such as jazz, something more rock, a bit of pop and roots, it is a true experience that listeners can find in this great release of the year so far. Jack gives his all in his powerful, booming vocals, sounding like David Coverdale, Bruce Springsteen or Richie Sambora singing. Folk at its roots with a contemporary and versatile sound.
