Andy Smythe releases the new Britpop classic "Out of My Mind" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles “Prodigal Son” were released last year and “The Riverman” in 2022.
'Out of My Mind' is a cycle of life song about finding your 'soul partner'. Explores the conflict of making the right choice in the London film landscape. This release opens up their previous single, 'Prodigal Son', which gained much critical praise for its lush arrangement and attention to detail.
Andy is a singer/songwriter who has developed a lyrical/musical ability that compares favorably with his heroes Lennon/McCartney. He records and arranges at home and plays guitar, bass and piano fluently. Finally, he has his own unique British voice with a remarkable four-octave range that has live audiences begging for more! His new album 'Poetry in Exile' will be released on March 1st and features 13 new songs that he has meticulously composed and arranged.
"Out Of My Mind" takes us to the 60s and we travel through the 70s too, here in Brazil called brega, influenced not only by Beatles, but also David Bowie, something that reminds us of "Starman". Andy then brings a retro rock song, with a classical influence, with an attempt to get that person out of your head, a track to drown your sorrows in a drink and then enjoy a melancholic moment that is totally attractive due to the sophisticated sound, which features backing vocals and saxophone, with a piano in the background, with an acoustic guitar playing with a very soft guitar, a strong classic rock, a timeless anthem for sure.
