Gary Dranow releases single "Sandy Beaches" being the nineteenth album released this year.
Previously, the singles “Shimmering” and “The Cry of War” had been released. We've also talked about the iconic single "The King is Dead".
Gary Dranow brings in his new work a song that is marked by classic rock and hard rock, with riffs that are breathtaking, connecting us strongly to the track, with an energy that makes us vibrate inside.
"Sandy Beaches" is an anthem that Gary Dranow brings, amid the nervous and noisy sound of the guitar, with beats that make us tremble inside, in a song that has a protest against the useless wars in Vietnam, Iraq and the disastrous exit from Afghanistan, all of which wreaked mental havoc on young Americans called into combat.
The chorus is liberating, the song takes us back to classic rock from the 70s and 80s, the transitions are amazing, and Gary's vocals are solid, in the chorus he delivers everything and raises the mood high.
"Sandy Beaches" is about a homeless veteran, a man who is traumatized by the wars he fought in. Living in terror is already horrible. Now he has to live with the horror in his mind, but he still has a place that brings him some peace.
