Michael Lyon lança novo álbum "What Could Be" sendo o quarto lançado na carreira do artista.
Antes, havia sido lançado alguns singles que fazem parte do álbum. O último álbum lançado foi "Curiosity" em 2020.
O novo álbum traz Michael Lyon mais maduro em suas letras e melodias, ele mesmo sente isso, ao se espelhar em George Harrison, que diz: "O que quer que faça, continue escrevendo canções, você só vai melhorar". Michael então sente essa evolução desde seu primeiro álbum, em 2015, onde atribui perseverança e experiência nesse novo álbum.
A primeira canção "Sunrise" traz um ritmo acústico, com violão, relaxante, nos faz buscar tranquilidade em um nascer do sol. O alt folk country conta com um vocal contagiante, que traz uma sintonia muito boa na faixa, começando com uma energia muito boa já nesse começo do álbum.
A segunda canção "Want To Be a Flower" tem um título que casa completamente com o nome do álbum e ideia do "E se?..." E se fossemos uma flor? Certamente a natureza cuidaria da gente, as abelhas, os insetos, os pássaros. "Nem mesmo Salomão em toda sua glória e majestade se vestiu tão bem quanto os lírios dos campos". A canção nos traz diversas ideias e linhas de raciocínio, uma meditação gostosa que Monark nos oferece.
A quinta canção "Justice Day" tem um toque de piano, bem elegante e clássico, algo retrô que nos leva aos anos 50, 60, é genial essa harmonia instrumental onde o piano cresce e o vocal também cresce. Com uma letra genial, marcante, somos levados para em uma canção relaxante e que penetra em nossos corações.
A sétima canção "One Man's War" tem uma introdução bem instigante, misteriosa, logo vem um toque de violão lento e que é tocado suavemente os acordes, é um hino folk acústico genial, que eleva nossa mente de paz, mentaliza, um estado de espírito que nos faz refletir alguns problemas, buscamos soluções, tentamos fazer a nossa parte nesse cenário. Uma canção para ouvir em meio a natureza e se conectar com as nossas raízes que são anti guerras.
A nona canção " Big Dream" nos permite sonhar, nos permite ter esperança, um lugar que é livre de todo ódio e preconceito, ganância e arrogância, onde o respeito e amor impera. Uma utopia, sempre vai fazer diferenças, mas que tal sonhar um pouco com essa melodia paradisíaca e Soundscape.
A décima primeira canção "Rain or Shine" tem um toque transcendental, que nos conecta fortemente na canção. O vocal nos cativa em seu tom sólido que é de tirar o fôlego, somos levados em um som que é fantástico, intimista e tocado por corda a corda.
A décima terceira canção "Family Tree" nos encanta com todo o arranjo sonoro, violino e violão tocando corda por corda, uma serenidade que é tocada em abundância nessa canção. Nos faz pensar em nossa família, nossos laços, nossa identidade, a genética que carregamos em nosso sangue, está tudo em nossa árvore familiar.
Para finalizar, tem a última canção "What Could Be", que é suave, tocada com violão, tem o título do álbum, é uma possibilidade sendo dita na canção.
