Shaven Primates lança novo EP "Birds Aren't Real" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano.
Antes, havia sido lançado o single "Answers" no ano passado e o álbum "Child of Dirt" em 2021.
O novo trabalho traz uma linha crítica e reflexiva sobre alguns pontos da sociedade, i crescimento do fascismo, guerra, mentiras, controle e o ceticismo sobre os governos. Com um rock and roll maduro, sólido, algo que rompe as barreiras do clássico, do gótico, punk, do dark, vamos agira ouvir algumas das 5 faixas.
Q primeira, para começar, tem a primeira canção "Fade Away", com uma temática do crescimento do fascismo nas redes sociais, uma canção que expõe a verdade que assombra o mundo, não importa o lado, o autoritarismo está por toda a parte, basta haver discordância. Com um toque de guitarra contagiante, marcante, as batidas são bem envolventes nessa primeira canção que já nos arrebata no início.
A segunda canção "A Decision", uma faixa que é de tirar o fôlego, é bem profunda e forte, com um estilo dark gótico pop dos anos 80, com sintetizador que nos leva para essa época. A letra é sobre alguém próximo que de repente tirou a própria vida, com insinuações que ninguém percebeu antes do fato. O som é sobre alguém que perde alguma pessoa e como fica os sentimentos depois disso.
A terceira faixa "Silicon Implants" é um punk rock que faz a galera sair do chão, com batidas frenéticas, forte e um solo de guitarra poderoso. O vocal entra com muita expressividade, somos levados com um ritmo acelerado, é um som que tem sua elegância e seu lado mais sujo, um rock and roll que tem o equilíbrio na dose certa. É sobre a conivência da sociedade com o que é cruel, mau, a queda na mentira e justificação do ato do mau através de guerras, o nazismo e o contexto social que essas ideias são implantadas.
"Birds Aren't Real" é a última canção, um ceticismo em relação às ideias governamentais, talvez tudo está sendo monitorado, tudo é ensaiado para que saia conforme um plano maior. Talvez uma conspiração, talvez faça sentido, ao som de um rock and roll agitado que tem um refrão que nos faz querer cantar juntos, é com essa energia que o EP é encerrado, com riffs marcantes, um órgão no arranjo e o vocal que arrebenta na canção.

Shaven Primates launches new EP "Birds Aren't Real" being the first work released that year. Before that, the single "Answers" had been released last year and the album "Child of Dirt" in 2021. The new work brings a critical and reflective line on some aspects of society, the growth of fascism, war, lies, control and skepticism about governments. With a mature, solid rock and roll, something that breaks the barriers of classic, gothic, punk, dark, let's act and listen to some of the 5 tracks. Q first, to begin with, has the first song "Fade Away", with a theme of the growth of fascism in social networks, a song that exposes the truth that haunts the world, no matter the side, authoritarianism is everywhere, there is just disagreement. With a contagious, striking guitar touch, the beats are very engaging in this first song that already enraptures us at the beginning. The second song "A Decision", a track that is breathtaking, is very deep and strong, with a dark gothic pop style of the 80's, with synth that takes us back to that era. The lyrics are about someone close who suddenly takes their own life, with overtones that no one noticed before the fact. The song is about someone who loses someone and what the feelings are after that. The third track "Silicon Implants" is a punk rock that makes the crowd leave the ground, with frantic beats, strong and a powerful guitar solo. The vocal comes in with a lot of expressiveness, we are taken with an accelerated rhythm, it is a sound that has both its elegance and its dirtier side, a rock and roll that has the right balance. It is about society's connivance with what is cruel, evil, the fall into the lie and justification of the act of evil through wars, Nazism and the social context that these ideas are implanted. "Birds Aren't Real" is the last song, a skepticism in relation to the government's ideas, maybe everything is being monitored, everything is rehearsed so that it goes according to a bigger plan. Perhaps a conspiracy, perhaps it makes sense, to the sound of an agitated rock and roll that has a chorus that makes us want to sing together, it is with this energy that the EP ends, with striking riffs, an organ in the arrangement and the vocal that bursts in song.
