acaba de lançar seu novo e poderoso álbum, um trabalho genial de muita energia que traz o rock de volta a cena que nos coloca para celebrar a nostalgia de um bom rock de arranjos deliciosos e firmes que nos encantam.

"Extinction Burst" é o nome do novo álbum original de Matare, clançado dia 2 de setembro de 2025,  é uma coletânea de faixas inspiradas em diversas influências, incluindo The Chameleons, Foster The People, The Cure, Depeche Mode e New Order. Cada música do álbum conta uma história enraizada em experiências e emoções pessoais, refletindo uma jornada de autodescoberta e reflexão. Com uma mistura de elementos de pós-punk, new wave e rock alternativo, "Extinction Burst" promete ser um lançamento de destaque que desafia as fronteiras do gênero e ressoa profundamente com o público.

Matare, natural de Atlanta, Estados Unidos, é o cérebro por trás dos singles "Veinte" e, mais recentemente, de faixas como "I Could Kill You But I Love You" e "Slicing Knives". Matare é um projeto solo que se concentra em um som retrô new wave/post punk misturado com dream pop e sensibilidade shoe-gaze. Depois de lançar vários singles de um próximo álbum intitulado "Extinction Burst", Matare está pronto para lançar o álbum no final do verão, acompanhado do lançamento em vinil de Extinction Burst e também de seu primeiro álbum, Patternicity.

A primeira faixa que abre o disco já nos traz um rock essencial, Attach Your Memories é simplesmente sensacional, carregada de um instrumental que já nos deixa claro a que esse álbum veio, com sonoridades que nos levam aos anos 90 e uma energia que traz toda a vibe nostalgica do verdadeiro rock alternativo, essa faixa é muito boa e nos hipnotiza, excelente maneira de abrir o álbum, mergulhamos na composição.

A segunda canção é curtinha, um soft rock delicioso com aquela energia de punk rock, rock dark wave, sensacional, com aquela vibe que nos faz dançar e cantar, refrão forte que nos convida a cantar juntos, essa faixa é divertida, tem uma letra interessante e nos deixa completamente envolvidos, essa canção tem muita energia e isso percorre nossas veias e nos faz sentir bem.

A quarta faixa Learned Helplesssness é mais uma canlçao que nos faz sentir como se estivessemos voltado no tempo, um grande destaque do álbum, nos lembra as faixas que nos fizeram ser roqueiros, indie e alternativos, essa música tem um instrumental fenomenal um espetáculo a parte, simplesmente sensacional, hipnotizante, estamos nos sentindo vivos de novo. É muito legal ter algo assim, somos jovens e intensos de novo.

Forever Light é mais uma canção que nos surpreende, é uma delicia, merece destaque, ela tem personalidade, ela representa muito do que esse disco tenta passar, ela nos floresce, nos acende, nos deixa com aquela sensação de ter encontrado a música certa que nos faz voltar sentir representados e expressados, essa canção é uma arte que nos anima e revigora. Nos lembra grandes genios do rock sem deixar de ser autêntica.

"Extinction Burst" is the title of Matare's new original album, released on September 2, 2025. It's a collection of tracks inspired by diverse influences, including The Chameleons, Foster The People, The Cure, Depeche Mode, and New Order. Each song on the album tells a story rooted in personal experiences and emotions, reflecting a journey of self-discovery and reflection. With a blend of post-punk, new wave, and alternative rock elements, "Extinction Burst" promises to be a standout release that defies genre boundaries and resonates deeply with audiences.

Matare, originally from Atlanta, is the mastermind behind the single "Veinte" and, more recently, tracks like "I Could Kill You But I Love You" and "Slicing Knives." Matare is a solo project that focuses on a retro new wave/post-punk sound mixed with dream pop and shoegaze sensibilities. After releasing several singles from an upcoming album titled "Extinction Burst," Matare is set to release the album in late summer, accompanied by the vinyl release of Extinction Burst and his debut album, Patternicity.

The first track that opens the album already delivers essential rock, "Attach Your Memories" is simply sensational, loaded with an instrumental that immediately makes this album clear, with sounds that transport us to the '90s and an energy that brings all the nostalgic vibe of true alternative rock. This track is very good and mesmerizing, an excellent way to open the album, immersing us in the composition.

The second song is short, a delicious soft rock with that punk rock energy, dark wave rock, sensational, with that vibe that makes us dance and sing along, a strong chorus that invites us to sing along. This track is fun, has interesting lyrics, and completely immerses us. This song has a lot of energy that runs through our veins and makes us feel good.

The fourth track, "Learned Helplessness," is another song that makes us feel like we've gone back in time, a major highlight of the album. It reminds us of the tracks that made us rock, indie, and alternative. This song has a phenomenal instrumental, a spectacle in itself, simply sensational, mesmerizing, we feel alive again. It's really cool to have something like this; we're young and intense again.

Forever Light is another song that surprises us. It's a delight, it deserves to be highlighted. It has personality, it represents much of what this album is trying to convey. It blossoms, it ignites, it leaves us with that feeling of having found the right song that makes us feel represented and expressed again. This song is an art that excites and invigorates us. It reminds us of great rock geniuses without losing its authenticity.

It's simply incredible, powerful, and full of authenticity, one after the other, all of high quality, bringing great identity and a forgotten rhythm that no one knows how to create today.
