Kings County releases the cover single "The Beautiful People", their first work released this year. Previously, they had released the singles "Blue Monday" and "Wish".
Kings County will soon release a CD of impactful remakes with all their most popular covers that have inspired them over the years. Recording a remake of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People" was at the top of the list. The accompanying video takes the song to a new level for this almost 30-year-old hit.
"The Beautiful People", a Marilyn Manson cover, starts off as good metal should, with relentless beats and guitar riffs that are strong enough to hit our chest and sweep us away. The vocals are very expressive, strong and impactful when they come in, taking the listeners into a timeless energy.
"The Beautiful People" has more intensity compared to the original, it is more rock, with more expressive vocals that make us vibrate, bringing a guttural whisper. We are taken by a hardcore gothic anthem with an immersive chorus in the shadows, a track that makes us reflect on the oppression of the "Beautiful People" over the excluded and the "weak" in society, perhaps just to feel good. A term used by Marilyn Manson that makes perfect sense for today.
