TENDERHOOKS lança o novo single "Big Brother" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado o álbum "5.4 Light Years" e o single 'Where Are My Fans" no ano passado.
A primeira faixa de Tenderhooks em 2024 é "Big Brother". Um hino indie rock contundente que destaca a intrusão cada vez maior do Estado em nossas vidas privadas. Charl Cronje assume o papel principal como cantor pela primeira vez. É o terceiro single do décimo álbum que será lançado ainda este ano.
Com uma primeira parte da faixa que mescla o art rock e o reggae, algo mais experimental e psicodélico, nos leva aos anos 70 com Pink Floyd, o rock clássico também. "Big Brother" é genial por fazer a gente flutuar em riffs suaves e cativantes em uma sonoridade única com batidas lentas e um vocal performático que nos faz mergulhar nessa temática.
"Big Brother" é um hino anti sistema, uma faixa subversiva e liberal o bastante para dizer NÃO a influência do Estado em nossas vidas, essa é a essência do rock e o punk. O refrão nos leva ao punk rock dos anos 80, o que surpreende bastante ao fazer transições entre os trechos e levando o ouvinte para ambientes sonoros versáteis.
Totalmente agitado, o refrão é para fazer a galera pular do chão e cantar juntos. Somos contagiados com as batidas fortes, o vocal super expressivo e cheio de atitude que eleva a música para o último estágio, em um som poderoso e único.
"Big Brother" tem uma energia que nos traz liberdade, uma faixa que posso imaginar ouvindo na estrada com o cair da noite, em uma estrada livre a ampla, para aumentar o volume e sentir o vento no rosto, com esse som atemporal, hionotizante em riffs constante e depois incendeia nossas veias com o refrão que tem um instrumental forte e vibrante.

TENDERHOOKS releases the new single "Big Brother" being the first work released this year. Previously, the album "5.4 Light Years" and the single 'Where Are My Fans" were released last year.
Tenderhooks' first track in 2024 is "Big Brother". A hard-hitting indie rock anthem that highlights the state's ever-increasing intrusion into our private lives. Charl Cronje takes on the lead role as a singer for the first time. It is the third single from the tenth album that will be released later this year.
With a first part of the track that mixes art rock and reggae, something more experimental and psychedelic, it takes us to the 70s with Pink Floyd, classic rock too. "Big Brother" is brilliant for making us float in soft and captivating riffs in a unique sound with slow beats and a performative vocal that immerses us in this theme.
"Big Brother" is an anti-system anthem, a track subversive and liberal enough to say NO to the influence of the State in our lives, this is the essence of rock and punk.
