The House Flies lança novo single "Lost Literature" sendo o segundo trabalho lançado nesse ano.

The House Flies releases new single "Lost Literature," their second release this year. Previously, we discussed and listened to their last single, "Derelict Crawl," which you can check out here.
The House Flies is a four-member dark alternative/post-punk band from Moline, Illinois. "Lost Literature" is the second single from their upcoming album, Lions and Ore, scheduled for release on November 6th. It's one of the album's most impactful songs, driven by a constant and lively drum beat, a melodic and danceable bassline, layered guitars, and a repetitive chorus that gives it a more pop appeal, without abandoning its post-punk, gothic, and dark alternative roots.
"Lost Literature" is striking from the start, with strong beats and a timeless arrangement that manages to evoke the tapestry of the 80s in a punk-pop nuance, captivating us with nostalgia in an electrifying, solid, danceable atmosphere with strong beats. The vocals enter with a lot of rock personality and attitude, creating a cinematic atmosphere for listeners who close their eyes and let themselves be carried away.
"Lost Literature" is a very well-crafted piece, with dark arrangements and a pop tendency that makes this dark side more commercial and palpable to a wide variety of tastes. It's like European rock from the 80s and 90s, with names like Depéche Mode, which manages to bring the subversive while simultaneously creating dance floor hits around the world. It's a song that generates movement, connections, a search for new stories and adventures lived in the throes of a Friday or Saturday night, music that makes that adrenaline and yearning to experience all of that pulsate.
"Lost Literature" takes us on a journey through the city, riding the subway with friends, or driving, seeing the lights, reliving and hearing narratives that keep playing in our heads, a track that seeks out fragments that are in our minds. Electrifying from beginning to end, the chorus is strong and memorable due to its repetitions, quickly becoming catchy and making you want to sing along.
The House Flies delivers "Lost Literature" in a vibrant atmosphere, pulsing life through our bodies, with a more pop feel, without abandoning the gothic punk style, drawing on the dark and more commercial side of pop in the chorus, an incorporation of the 80s with a modern twist, something rare to hear nowadays and it satisfies the nostalgia.
