O arranjo nos leva a rendição no refrão e cantamos juntos "All I Want is you".

Anton Lewis releases new album "Someday//Yesterday," his first release this year. Previously, the single "Second Best Bed" was released in 2022.
The new work is a deeply personal collection that unites past and present. The album breathes new life into songs written by Lewis between his late teens and recent years, transforming demos and classics from his live shows into complete studio recordings. From the rock-influenced intensity of 'Vanilla' to the acoustic intimacy of 'All I Want'—a track that has been a constant presence in Lewis's shows since 2015—the album showcases a variety of musical styles. Recorded primarily at Pirate Studios in Liverpool, the project features innovative vocal techniques, with the closing track 'Midnight' utilizing over 60 vocal tracks to create its apocalyptic soundscape. The album has 9 tracks, and we'll delve into the songs and see how Anton Lewis delivers on each one.
To start, there's the first track, "Vanilla," which comes in strong with an electrifying introduction, featuring captivating pauses, and the vocalist's voice interspersed between them. It's a track with a growing, solid, and very well-crafted construction that manages to blend electrifying elements with rock. A cinematic atmosphere, a completely igniting vibe. With explosive guitar riffs and vocals that create a dark ambiance, the track makes that intensity and adrenaline surge through our veins, with a catchy chorus and a breathtaking guitar solo. There couldn't have been a better way to start an album.
The second track, "Someday," is the album's title track, with a softer sound compared to the previous one. The beats are captivating and slow, with an elegant, casual arrangement that transforms the atmosphere into a more intimate and relaxing moment. The song reminds us of the New Radicals' style in the 90s; the vocals simply sing without worrying about aesthetics, carrying us on mesmerizing sound waves. You know that feeling of being at home on a cold day as evening approaches? This is the song I'd like to be listening to, perhaps while enjoying a glass of wine. It has pop, jazz, rock, and floats quite a bit between genres.
The third song, "All I Want," is quite surprising, as the album changes direction again. The rhythm has a folk feel, with guitar chords, a song that showcases Anton Lewis's versatility. A deeper vocal carries us serenely, gradually building in some verses. The arrangement leads us to surrender in the chorus, and we sing along, "All I Want is you." It's a universal phrase, communicating with listeners whose hearts are warm. It's the kind of song to listen to at breakfast, in a city with a mountain climate, coffee brewing, steam wafting through the house, and you look to the side and see that special person you love smiling.
The fourth track, "Tough Luck," reminds us of the 2000s, a fast-paced and light sound. It's a pleasant track to listen to, more introspective in the parts outside the chorus, and suddenly the chorus is catchy and makes you want to sing along. It's fun, upbeat, with the guitar propelling the chorus along with the drums. The transition is striking and leads the track to a climax when the vocals increase in intensity. "Lords of the Desert" is the fifth song, bringing a country tapestry to rock, with introspective and deep vocals that grow, it's contagious, with a transition that leads to the chorus and brings verses that repeat.
"Whiskey" is the seventh song, slowly starting with an established touch of chords that guide us, very slowly, the vocals carry the song with heart and soul, it's a cozy song, warming the hearts. We're experiencing a period of low temperatures in Brazil today, rainy days, especially in our city where it doesn't usually rain much, but it has been raining, and all I love is matching the atmosphere I'm in that day with some music playing in the background. This song is certainly incredible for that; we can hear the finger movements across the chords, which brings us very close to the music as if we were right there. The vocals have a timbre that harmonizes perfectly; it's a captivating folk song.
"New Year's Eve" is the eighth track. It has an elegant feel, with a pop rhythm that slowly carries our body, with a touch that leaves us hypnotized by something that sounds like constant high-pitched piano keys. It's a track with that cinematic vibe, a catchy pop song with a Christmas atmosphere; it's a modern and electrifying song, full of tenderness. Without further spoilers, there's a final song that's definitely worth listening to.
